At Bellota Labs, we're building the future of online poker with ClubWPT Gold—a skill-based, strategy-driven platform from the World Poker Tour. This isn't just another casino app—it's a competitive ecosystem where players learn, train, and play to win real prizes.

We're looking for a Senior Graphic Designer with a focus on user acquisition, marketing, and conversion to help shape the front door of our product experience. From marketing landing pages and growth experiments to onboarding flows and campaign-driven design, you'll help us attract, convert, and retain passionate players in a crowded, competitive market.

This is a high-impact, cross-functional role where product thinking meets performance marketing—ideal for a designer who's equal parts strategic and hands-on, and who uses modern AI tools to produce creative at a volume and velocity that traditional design teams simply can't match. In a performance marketing context, that's not a nice-to-have — it's a direct driver of CAC, ROAS, and growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Design for growth: Own the end-to-end design of web assets and experiences focused on driving acquisition—think marketing sites, landing pages, campaign pages, paid ad flows, and lead-gen experiences. Use AI-assisted design tools (e.g., Figma AI, Galileo AI, Uizard) to accelerate layout exploration and iteration.
  • Optimize conversion funnels: Craft, test, and iterate on design elements that drive signups, account creation, email capture, and player engagement. Use generative AI to produce multiple variants of every asset, enabling faster, more meaningful testing.
  • Create marketing visuals at scale: Produce high-quality visuals for product launches, ad campaigns, email templates, and social media. Leverage generative image and video tools (e.g., Midjourney, Firefly, DALL·E, Ideogram, Runway, Pika) to produce a volume and diversity of creative that would be impossible through traditional production alone—always on-brand and optimized for performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Partner with marketing, product, and engineering teams to align design with business goals and KPIs. Use AI research tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity) to accelerate competitive creative research, copy exploration, and campaign briefs.
  • Lead A/B testing efforts: Design testable experiences and analyze outcomes to inform future design decisions. Use AI to rapidly generate testable creative variants (imagery, copy, layout) and to help synthesize learnings across campaigns.
  • Build and maintain design systems: Extend our design system across marketing assets and customer-facing surfaces with consistency and polish—built to support AI-accelerated production without sacrificing brand quality.
  • Champion AI in creative production: Continuously evaluate new AI tools and techniques that can elevate our creative output, speed, or personalization — and share learnings with the broader team.

What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience in product or marketing design, with a strong focus on responsive web and performance-driven design
  • A portfolio that demonstrates clean visual design, marketing intuition, and conversion-minded UX
  • Expertise in Figma; bonus for motion/interactive prototyping tools
  • Hands-on fluency with AI creative tools — generative image tools (Midjourney, Firefly, DALL·E, Ideogram), video/motion tools (Runway, Pika), and AI-assisted design tools — with clear judgment about where AI accelerates the work and where human craft must lead
  • Experience designing and optimizing landing pages, marketing flows, and acquisition campaigns
  • Strong grasp of growth metrics and how design impacts user behavior
  • Familiarity with A/B testing, performance tracking, and iterative design
  • Bonus: Experience in gaming, entertainment, or competitive skill-based products
  • Bonus: Experience using AI tooling to scale ad creative production or run high-velocity creative testing programs
  • Extra bonus: You know poker—or are excited to learn

What Success Looks Like

  • A polished, high-converting marketing site that communicates our value proposition to new players
  • Seamless flows from ad to signup, reducing dropoff and boosting conversion rates
  • Design assets and landing pages that scale across campaigns, product launches, and growth initiatives
  • A consistent, compelling visual identity that builds trust with serious poker players
  • An AI-accelerated creative engine — shipping more variants, testing more hypotheses, and learning faster than a traditional marketing design team of comparable size

If you’re excited to work at the intersection of design, growth, and gaming, and want to help launch a category-defining product, we’d love to hear from you.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
