About Empowerly
Empowerly is a fast-growing ed-tech company on a mission to empower students to become the most successful version of themselves. Our platform combines expert college counseling with proprietary tools like the Empowerly Score™, offering families a 360° view of their child’s college readiness — across academics, essays, and extracurriculars.
We’ve raised $30 million from top-tier investors including Goodwater Capital, Conductive Ventures, FJ Labs, Scrum Ventures, Translink Capital, Azure Capital Partners, and Spero Ventures.
Empowerly is a founder-led company that has grown through SEO-driven performance marketing. We’ve now invested heavily in scaling a diversified GTM motion across Sales, Events, B2C, Partnerships, and Business Development and we’re looking to grow our revenue by 150–200%+ in the coming phase. This role will be critical to helping us make that leap.
We operate on a remote-first basis, building a team of individuals who excel in remote environments and are passionate about making high-quality college counseling accessible to all students, regardless of their background or location.
About the Role
We're hiring a Senior GTM Data Analyst to bring structure, insights, and strategic clarity to our go-to-market operations. Reporting directly to the CFO and dotted-line to the Head of Marketing, this is a highly cross-functional role with influence across Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Finance, and Product.
The ideal candidate thrives in fast-moving environments, understands the dynamics of Series A–C, VC-backed, founder-led startups, and knows how to use data not just for reporting, but for unlocking growth levers.

- Develop and maintain KPIs to measure acquisition, conversion, retention, LTV, and channel ROI
- Conduct experimentation analysis, including A/B testing and multivariate testing
- Perform customer segmentation and profiling to refine targeting and personalization
- Evaluate and improve marketing attribution models to understand cross-channel effectiveness
- Deliver weekly and monthly reporting to GTM stakeholders, surfacing key insights across B2C, B2B, and B2B2B motions
Data Modeling & Visualization
- Build and maintain scalable data models to support reporting and growth analysis
- Work with data infrastructure such as Amazon Redshift
- Design intuitive dashboards using Tableau, Google Data Studio, or equivalent BI tools
- Transform data into visual stories tailored to stakeholders in Sales, Marketing, and Finance
Marketing Optimization
- Provide actionable insights to optimize campaigns and maximize ROI
- Identify untapped growth channels beyond SEO (e.g., partnerships, events, affiliates, outbound)
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to shape and execute GTM strategies
- Stay ahead of marketing trends and technologies to drive innovation
- Support strategic planning and execution tied to revenue growth goals
Cross-Functional Collaboration & Project Management
- Act as a strategic partner to Sales, Marketing, Biz Dev, Product, and Finance
- Manage and prioritize multiple analytics projects simultaneously
- Ensure alignment between data insights and weekly/monthly GTM execution
- Help the team scale from a performance-marketing foundation to a data-informed, diversified revenue engine
- Bring clarity and calm to a fast-paced, founder-led environment where ideas move quickly

Experience Requirements
- 5+ years of GTM, marketing, or revenue analytics experience
- 5+ years of experience working cross-functionally across Sales, Marketing, Finance, or Product
- Strong understanding of VC-backed growth stages (Series A–C) and how to influence in founder-led companies
- Proven ability to deliver business impact through data and influence stakeholder decisions
- Familiarity with tools like HubSpot, Salesforce, Google Analytics, and Facebook Ads
- Bonus: Experience with statistical modeling, AI/LLMs, or launching new GTM channels
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Math, Stats, Econ, Computer Science) preferred
- MBA or MS strongly preferred
- If no quantitative degree, completion of a recognized data bootcamp is acceptable
Ideal Hire Profile

- You operate with urgency, empathy, and integrity
- You believe in Empowerly’s mission to expand access to college counseling
- You thrive in lean, nimble, fast-paced environments

- Equity
- Full benefits (health, vision, dental)
- Remote-first flexibility
- High visibility with C-level leadership
- A mission-driven, values-based team helping families nationwide

As our Senior GTM Data Analyst, you won’t just analyze performance, you’ll influence it. You’ll be the connective tissue between data, decision-making, and execution across the go-to-market engine.
If you're energized by the idea of turning insights into action, partnering across teams, and helping us expand access to college counseling for families everywhere, we’d love to hear from you.
