The Difference You Will Make:

The Senior Global Programs Lead is an experienced leader responsible for the management of global strategic programs that span the Community Team. This role collaborates cross-functionally to develop strategies and operationalize programs that connect our Host Engagement, Host Communications and Host Development teams to broader business and brand initiatives aligned to company priorities. This role reports to the Director of Global Community Programs, working closely with the functional leads across the Community Team and across the organization including Business, Supply, Product, Design, Marketing working groups. 

A Typical Day: 

  • Build and lead strategy for key programs
    • Partner with business and product teams to understand key priorities to translate into an integrated Community Team strategy 
    • Work closely with the functional leads to develop their strategies that ladder to the broader business initiatives 
  • Operationalize strategy execution
    • Establish systems to move work forward by managing communications, cascades and channels within the working groups
    • Ensure that execution strategically aligns with Community and business objectives through ongoing strategic guidance
  • Define program goals and monitor performance against key performance indicators
    • Develop key performance indicators aligned to larger business objectives and priorities 
    • Review impact through regular performance reviews 
  • Develop strong and collaborative relationships 
    • Manages stakeholders within the Community Team including team leadership and working team 
    • Represent Community in senior cross functional meetings and work collaboratively with stakeholders
    • Influence priorities, roadmaps, and operations on behalf of our team and our hosts
  • Provide clear and compelling updates 
    • Communicate program strategy, performance, and impact to cross-functional partners and senior/executive leadership
    • Develop materials for working group alignment and leadership reviews 
  • Mentor and support junior team members
    • Foster a culture of excellence, inclusion, and collaboration by developing talent 

Your Expertise:

  • Senior leader with 15+ years of experience in Brand Strategy, Program Management, Product Management or Operations.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional strategic programs and operating in a matrixed organization.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex global programs at scale while balancing competing priorities and resources.
  • Strategic thinker able to look at a wide range of inputs to develop strategy and narratives. 
  • Highly detail-oriented and executes with precision while prioritizing quality. 
  • Strong data and analytics acumen, experience leveraging insights to guide decisions and optimize program impact.
  • Exceptional communicator, including executive leadership and external partners with experience in developing both strategy documents and presentations.
  • Adept at navigating ambiguity to align teams around clear priorities.
  • Able to influence while being a collaborative and thoughtful partner.
  • Anticipates next steps by connecting dots across data and insights.  
  • Approaches challenges with a curiosity and a solutions-oriented mindset. 
  • Deep connection to Airbnb’s purpose of creating connection.

This position is US - Remote Eligible. The role may include occasional work at an Airbnb office or attendance at offsites, as agreed to with your manager. How We'll Take Care of You:

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.

$188,000$235,000 USD
