The Procurement team is moving beyond traditional sourcing goals to create value for the enterprise by improving profitability, increasing supplier collaboration, and supporting new solution development. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations within the enterprise.
Job Description

This role provides essential procurement and supplier expertise in the areas of strategic sourcing and category management with strong commercial and contractual experience with a high focus on Cyber Security and Network Operation activities.  This role will deliver high quality, innovative and proven cost-effective methodologies to support company and department objectives. This role will interface and foster a collaborative environment with cross functional teams. This role requires exceptional verbal and written communication, strong organizational and time management skills.

In this role, key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and execute long term agreements through formal RFx methodologies

  • Analyze spend data and industry dynamics to identify, prioritize, and launch sourcing initiatives

  • Achieve savings goals

  • Establish positive relationships across the business units to ensure active and early participation in supplier related matters

  • Collaborates with business stakeholders to understand requirements and current gaps and challenges to develop best strategic sourcing strategies

  • Lead supplier contract renewals and leverage competitive pricing, quality and customer service

  • Develop strategic relationships with existing or new key suppliers and ensure appropriate engagement levels exist to drive partnership objectives

  • Identify process improvements to increase efficiencies and maximize spend opportunity

  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on business initiatives and procurement strategies

  • Coaches and mentors other members of the procurement team on procurement and sourcing best practices

In this role, specific skills/knowledge/experiences will include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Technology or a related program or equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field

  • Lead and execute long term agreements through formal RFx methodologies

  • Analyze spend data and industry dynamics to identify, prioritize, and launch sourcing initiatives

  • Achieve savings goals

  • Expert in negotiation skills in both financial and business matters, including commercial terms and risk mitigation for strategic contracts

  • Experience managing and negotiating large, enterprise-wide contracts

  • Experience with the execution of the RFx development from bid to contract execution

  • Experience using an eProcurement platform, procure-to-pay process

  • Must have a high level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation

  • Demonstrate success with managing a project/program to completion

  • Experience with international procurement is a plus

  • Relevant Data Protection / Privacy Management qualification desirable.

  • Exercise sound judgment and make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses

  • Creative problem solver and ability to build relationships across teams and with vendors

Note: Candidate may reside anywhere in the Mid-West with 10% travel to Chicago office.

Target Base Salary Range: $98,100  - $196,200 

Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity. Pay within this range varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate.

  • 5+ years of Procurement Category Management or relevant experience
