Job Description

The Senior Full Stack Software Engineer designs and builds enterprise web applications using ASP.NET and C#, following best practices for scalable and maintainable systems. In this role, you will be developing and implementing products and services supporting Allstate’s Individual Health Benefits organization. You will leverage test driven development and continuous integration to ensure agility and quality of products. You will participate in the decision-making process of the team ensuring that the simplest appropriate technology and design is chosen to meet user needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provides input into the architecture and design of the product; collaborating with the team in solving problems the right way

• Practices daily paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building product

• Participates in executing the strategy, keeping the customer needs and wants in mind

• Serves as an expert on a specific business domain and demonstrates leadership and accountability on at least one technology stack

• Coaches more junior team members around different technologies and best practices

• Establishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices

• Provides support for software products in user environments

• Leads and participates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups

• Participates in retrospectives to gather feedback and derive actionable items to improve the team and the product

• Participates in iteration planning meetings ensuring that the team has a common understanding of each story and chores in a team’s backlog

Qualifications

• 3 years or more of ASP.NET and C# of backend development for enterprise applications (Preferred)

• Experience with MVC architecture and developing RESTful APIs

• Strong knowledge of front-end technologies, with expertise in React.js as the primary framework

• Experience working with additional front-end frameworks, including Vue.js and Angular

• Solid understanding of modern JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles

• Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server and ability to write and optimize complex T-SQL queries

• Exposure to Oracle databases and integration with enterprise data repositories (EDR)

• Experience building scalable, secure, and maintainable web applications

• Familiarity with source control tools (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines

• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills in both front-end and back-end environments

•Ability to work collaboratively in Agile/Scrum development teams

Education

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is $85,600.00 - $135,000.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
*** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e., commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
