Roblox is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer (80% FE)  to help shape the future of how we run enterprises. In this role, you’ll build systems that make us more efficient and scalable as an organization, driving innovation across our business products. With AI transforming the way we work, you’ll have the autonomy to explore and integrate cutting-edge solutions that help Roblox operate at 10x efficiency.

This is a new team at Roblox, and we need someone who thrives with autonomy and ownership—a builder who can advocate for best development practices, seamlessly collaborate with external vendors, and work directly with Roblox Executives to drive meaningful impact.

You will:
  • Work across engineering, product, finance, people, and talent teams to innovate how we run the company, defining and refining requirements for high-impact internal products.
  • Drive alignment across teams, shaping product requirements and ensuring everyone is working toward the same vision.
  • Lead projects from end to end, ensuring they are well-planned, high-quality, and impactful.
  • Work across a wide range of technologies, from frontend and backend to infrastructure, learning quickly to solve complex challenges.
  • Uphold high engineering standards, building scalable, performant, and future-proof systems.
  • Explore and apply AI to improve efficiency, embracing new tools and approaches.
You have:
  • 4+ years of experience building full-stack systems, including backend, APIs, and frontend applications.
  • 2+ years of experience leading large technical projects involving multiple teams.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
You are:
  • Experienced in building and deploying high-quality, user-focused products.
  • Focused on writing clear, readable, testable, modular, and well-monitored code.
  • Proficient in software development and architecture, with a strong background in both backend and frontend technologies.
  • An expert in modern backend and frontend development frameworks and languages, with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
  • A strong collaborator with great communication skills and are able to work effectively across teams.
  • Passionate to leverage technology to create intuitive tools that enhance user workflows and drive business insights.
  • Already using AI to improve your productivity and excited about exploring and building AI-powered products, though specific AI expertise is not required.

For roles that are based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. All full-time employees are also eligible for equity compensation and for benefits as described on this page.

Annual Salary Range
$238,520$289,460 USD

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
