We are seeking an exceptional Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our Sales Finance Analytics team. What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build and own a Finance Analytics Discoverability & Data Management Platform: an internal web application that serves as the front door to Sales Finance Analytics — a single place to discover and use dashboards, reporting agents, reference materials, and operational tools.

  • Our signature use-case is building seamless experiences where conversational AI reporting agents and BI dashboards work side-by-side on the same data.

  • Managing security interactions between in cross-platform applications.

  • Design, build, and maintain mapping applications that capture business rules used across close and analytics (e.g., customer and party-in-chain mappings such as groupings, classifications, with validations, workflow and get comfortable to move simple things off of excel.

  • Implement robust data input workflows for mappings and data management screens, including both individual record entry/editing and bulk updates (e.g., copy/paste “data dumps” and file-based imports) with guardrails: validation, preview/diff, error reporting, and safe rollback where appropriate.

  • Partner with data engineering and analytics teams to connect the UI to reliable backend services (APIs, databases, event logs) and to align on data contracts and operational SLAs.

  • Establish engineering protocols: code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, and performance tuning for a responsive and reliable internal product.

  • Work closely with Finance partners to translate ambiguous asks into well-scoped product increments; iterate quickly while maintaining high standards for quality, security, and maintainability.

What We Need to See:

  • 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with 4+ years building and shipping full stack web applications end-to-end.

  • Proficiency in employing AI coding tools like Cursor or Claude Code at implementing prototypes and testing.

  • Strong proficiency with modern front-end development (e.g., React + TypeScript) and building clean, accessible, high-quality user interfaces.

  • Strong proficiency with backend development (e.g., Node.js/TypeScript or Python) including RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization patterns, and service design.

  • Experience integrating with enterprise identity (SAML/SSO), secure handling of sensitive data, and audit trails.

  • Demonstrated ability to build internal tools and workflows (CRUD + approval flows + change history) that support operational business processes.

  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of partnering with non-engineering stakeholders (Finance, Ops, IT/Security) to deliver outcomes.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Ways to Stand Out from the Crowd:

  • Experience building analytics portals or data product catalogs that organize dashboards, definitions, and data lineage in a governed way.

  • Experience with Databricks integrations (workspace navigation patterns, job/run linking, secrets usage patterns) and working alongside data engineering teams.

  • Familiarity with observability (structured logging, tracing, metrics) and operating internal web apps with strong reliability expectations.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
