As a Senior Frontend Software Engineer at Regard, you’ll be involved in all stages of the product development and deployment lifecycle: participate in idea generation, planning, design, prototyping, execution, deployment, and iteration of new and existing features. You’ll collaborate closely with design, clinical, and product colleagues to bring new features and products to life.
Your primary objective will be to develop high-quality software solutions that meet user needs and align with the organization’s business goals. This will involve analyzing requirements, designing robust architectures, writing efficient code, and conducting thorough testing.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with product and design team members to best design a solution balancing speed to market, user experience, business goals, and technical architecture quality
- Design and improve the front end architecture for your area of responsibility
- Drive front end development practices, patterns, and processes along with the other Regard front end experts
- Mentor and review code from less experienced developers in the front end codebase
- Maintain and improve the quality of the codebase and tooling in your area of responsibility by proactive fixes and improvements and through identifying and proposing larger projects to improve the front end codebase
- Participate in operational activities supporting product areas you own including on-call, monitoring, and production support
- Contribute across the stack (API layer, etc) where necessary to unblock projects
Qualifications:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 6+ years using React & Typescript to build front end applications in a production environment
- Expertise in web development tooling and frameworks used for modern web applications (webpack, node, npm/yarn, jest, etc)
- Experience diving into the API as necessary to move a project forward
- Expertise in front end testing methodologies and frameworks and expertise in end-to-end testing frameworks like Cypress and Selenium
- Strong understanding of front end performance and observability needs with the ability to debug and diagnose complex front end issues independently
- Able to participate in on-call operational support for their areas of responsibility
- Able to travel up to 4 weeks a year for company co-working and/or retreat weeks
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to contribute and dive into cloud services, CI, and infrastructure as code to drive development and deployment processes in AWS
- Experience in healthcare and understanding of healthcare terminology and needs
- Experience working in an enterprise SaaS technology company
- Exposure to startup and/or high growth environments
Hybrid Work | Location | Work Authorization
- For this role, Regard is currently only considering candidates who are authorized to work in the US without visa sponsorship, and are within the San Francisco metro area
- Our expectation for this role is to be in the office 2 days per week. We may request more frequent in-office work during the onboarding period and team onsite weeks
- Additionally, hybrid employees have the flexibility to work from locations outside of their home office from up to 6 weeks per year
