Why Socure?

Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy — verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.

We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won’t be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself — keep reading.

Software engineers at Socure are integral members of product-focused teams that design and deliver mission-critical systems at scale. We work closely with our customers, driving measurable business outcomes and providing world-class user experiences. As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will be instrumental in building intuitive, high-performance, and dependable web applications that empower our users to proactively detect and prevent risk.

You will participate in every stage of the software development lifecycle—from architecture and design through implementation, testing, and production support. Leveraging modern frontend technologies and development patterns, you’ll advocate for best practices and mentor other engineers. This opportunity is ideal for frontend specialists passionate about design systems, seamless user experiences, and making a significant impact at scale.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop robust user interfaces from high-fidelity designs and functional specifications of varying complexity.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver an exceptional, customer-centric product.

  • Own features end-to-end, from design reviews to production rollout, ensuring high quality, usability, and performance.

  • Create comprehensive unit, integration, and end-to-end tests for robust code and broad functional coverage.

  • Break down complex technical and product challenges into actionable tasks and drive them to successful completion.

  • Contribute to the evolution of our design systems and frontend architecture to enhance scalability, maintainability, and developer experience.

  • Partner with backend and infrastructure engineers to define efficient APIs and data contracts.

  • Mentor and coach fellow engineers by sharing expertise, conducting code reviews, and promoting engineering best practices.

  • Champion accessibility, performance, and security throughout frontend development.

  • Work in an agile, fast-paced environment focused on rapid delivery and continuous improvement.

What You'll Bring:

  • 5-7 years of experience developing modern web applications using TypeScript, React, and popular workflows (e.g., Flux, Redux, or equivalent).

  • Proven track record of writing clean, reusable, well-tested, and maintainable code.

  • Experience collaborating with product designers and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong focus on user experience and empathy for end users when designing UI flows and interactions.

  • Hands-on experience with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Framer, or InVision.

  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like Google Cloud or AWS (preferred).

  • Experience with node-based graph libraries (e.g., react-flow, litegraph.js) is a strong plus.

  • Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and security best practices.

  • Experience building and scaling design systems or component libraries is a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.

  • Growth mindset with a passion for learning, experimentation, and keeping current with the latest frontend technologies.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
