Why This Role Matters:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to help our growing Engineering team build world class solutions and deliver results for the business. You will work closely with Engineering, Product, and Design leadership to build exciting user experiences and to meet the high standards of leading financial institutions. You are comfortable with scaling and maturing critical frontend applications, and you look forward to helping define what Engineering means at Gainbridge. You enjoy working as part of a tight-knit team to build reliable technical solutions and rich customer experiences. You hold yourself and others accountable for routinely delivering mission critical outcomes. You are viewed as a trusted, intellectually honest partner within your team and across functional boundaries. You continually ask yourself, “What is accurate and what should be done about it?”

How You'll Contribute:

  • Build world class frontend solutions through reactive apps and microservices, ensuring high-availability, scalability, performance, and security in production systems.
  • Collaborate with product managers, business stakeholders, and other engineering teams to drive technical decisions, and deliver on business goals.
  • Ownership of software development lifecycle, ensuring adherence to best practices in coding, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide mentorship to other engineers, helping to elevate the overall technical capabilities of the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, and growth.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and effort estimation, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features.
  • Ensure the development of secure, well-tested solutions with an emphasis on reducing technical debt.

What We're Looking For:

  • 6+ years of proven experience in frontend development, with a demonstrable track record of delivery of rich frontend web applications with design workflows and product guidance.
  • Proven ability to guide teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining operational excellence and driving best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong understanding of DOM and CSS fundamentals across browsers
  • Keen eye for style and detail
  • Experience using animation to improve the usability of an interface
  • Interested in emergent frontend technologies and trends
  • Working knowledge in the following technologies: ○ Object-oriented languages such Javascript or Typescript ○ Frontend development frameworks such as React, Vue, or Angular ○ CSS libraries like Bootstrap, Material, or Tailwind
  • Experience working directly with designers with open and collaborative communication
  • Experience reviewing and implementing Figma designs as well as dynamic interactions
  • Experience using and implementing design systems
  • Experience in maintaining and improving application performance through APM and observability tools
  • Experience with cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services or Google Cloud
  • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, GCP), Kubernetes, and DevOps tools for observability (Grafana, OpenTelemetry)

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Helm, or ArgoCD
  • Experience working in leading financial services organizations and startups
  • Working experience in supporting digital accessibility

Compensation:  

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $180,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $200,000/year in our highest geographic market.  Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Employees who meet benefit eligibility guidelines and work 30 hours or more weekly, have the ability to enroll in Group 1001’s benefits package.
