Dragos is on a relentless mission to defend industrial organizations that provide us with the necessities of modern civilization; running water, functioning electricity, and safe industrial working environments. As the market leader in ICS/OT Cybersecurity, we are dedicated to arming our customers with best-in-class technology, threat intelligence, and services to protect their systems as effectively and efficiently as possible. We’re a remote-first culture with operations in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and APAC. We’re looking for mission-oriented teammates who embody our core values of authenticity, transparency, and trust. Are you ready to make a difference? Come join a mission that can save the world!

About the Role:

Dragos is seeking a Senior Front End Engineer to join our UI Community and the Microsegmentation Product Team in building the leading OT Security Platform. We work in a matrix-style engineering organization, which means you will be part of the UI Community while embedded within the Microsegmentation product team.
The Microsegmentation Product Team is delivering new capabilities that help customers configure their networks around specific applications, workloads, or even individual devices. Our UI Community plays a pivotal role in turning these complex workflows into clear, intuitive, and performant experiences.
To be successful at Dragos, you’ll need to be passionate about your craft, collaborate across disciplines, and care deeply about solving the problems our customers face. We don’t hire engineers who only want to write code. We hire engineers who contribute to more than a codebase, who stretch themselves to accomplish the mission, who are comfortable being uncomfortable, and who continuously raise the bar for themselves and others.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning, developing, and testing product features in a timely manner.
  • Designing and building modular, reusable UI components in React and TypeScript.
  • Translating Product and Design requirements into reliable and performant user experiences.
  • Leading feature development within your team and providing feedback in code and design reviews.
  • Contributing to architectural discussions to help shape scalable UI systems.
  • Implementing automated testing (Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright) to ensure reliability.
  • Monitoring and improving performance, accessibility, and usability of features.
  • Mentoring junior engineers and raising the technical bar within your team.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience with modern front-end stacks (React, TypeScript, Redux, etc.).
  • Actively use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate workflows, improve code quality, and enhance productivity while ensuring security and maintainability.
  • Experience incorporating AI tools, models, or services into development workflows
  • Proven ability to deliver React applications and component systems at scale.
  • Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and web performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (Jest, RTL, Playwright).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Bitbucket) and build tools (Vite, Rollup, Turbo, Webpack).
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills across cross-functional teams

Compensation:

  • Salary: $165,000
  • Competitive Equity Package
  • Comprehensive Benefits Plan

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
