We're actively seeking a talented Senior Front-End Developer (React.js) to join our Workforce Benefits Division in either Newport Beach, CA or Omaha, NE. Relocation assistance may be provided.

As a Senior Front-End Developer, you will be a key contributor to Pacific Life’s Workforce Benefits Division, driving innovation through the development of cutting-edge user interfaces. You’ll collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver exceptional experiences across our platform.

How you’ll help move us forward:

  • Architect and implement complex frontend features using React.js and modern JavaScript/TypeScript.
  • Lead UI development efforts, ensuring code quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to translate product requirements into elegant, user-friendly interfaces.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to frontend best practices.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Integrate with backend services and call microservices effectively.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in frontend development.

The experience you bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of professional experience in frontend development.
  • Expert-level proficiency in React.js, including hooks, context, and component architecture.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • Experience with state management libraries (e.g., Redux, Context API).
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous data handling.
  • Solid grasp of frontend performance optimization and accessibility standards.
  • Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.

What makes you stand out:

  • Advanced degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with MobX for state management.
  • Familiarity with testing frameworks like Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress.
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite).
  • Knowledge of design systems and component libraries (e.g., Storybook, MUI).
  • Experience in the financial or insurance industry.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive attitude.

Base Pay Range:

The base pay range noted represents the company’s good faith minimum and maximum range for this role at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications and geographic location. Also, most employees are eligible for additional incentive pay.

$121,770.00 - $148,830.00
