About The Role We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team, reporting to the Senior Manager, FP&A. This is an individual contributor role at the center of how GC AI plans, measures, and communicates financial performance. You'll own critical financial models, build the reporting that informs leadership decisions, and bring analytical rigor to a business that is scaling rapidly across product lines and customer segments.
The right person for this role has a foundation in investment banking and has since transitioned into FP&A at a high growth AI or SaaS company. You know how to build a model from scratch, pressure-test assumptions, and translate complex financial data into clear narratives for operators and board members alike.
- Support the development and maintenance of revenue models, forecasts, and the annual budget, with a focus on subscription and usage-based drivers (ARR, net retention, expansion, churn)
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting packages, including variance analysis and commentary for leadership
- Help build board decks and investor materials that distill performance, KPIs, and strategic priorities into concise, compelling formats
- Contribute to unit economics frameworks (LTV, CAC, payback period) to inform go-to-market and product investment decisions
- Support pricing and packaging analysis for new product launches, tier changes, and competitive positioning Partner with cross-functional leaders (Sales, Product, Engineering, People) on strategic ad hoc analyses that drive resource allocation and prioritization
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, reporting cadences, and data integrity as the company scales
- 3-5 years of progressive FP&A experience at an AI or SaaS company
- Prior experience in investment banking (analyst or associate level)
- Deep fluency in SaaS metrics and subscription business models
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides; comfortable building models and decks from a blank page
- Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting platforms
- Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar LLMs) to accelerate analysis and automate workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
- A bias toward action and ownership; you don't wait to be told what to analyze
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight
- Thrives in ambiguity and can structure problems independently before asking for direction
- Experience supporting a company through fundraising, M&A process, or IPO readiness
- Familiarity with SQL or BI tools (Tableau, Looker, or similar)
- Experience building or improving FP&A infrastructure (implementing planning tools, designing new reporting frameworks)
- CFA, CPA, or MBA
