JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Financial Analyst will support the FOX Sports LATAM business, including working closely with the local Mexico and corporate finance teams. We are looking for a motivated and career-oriented candidate with a proactive approach and strong analytical and Excel skills. The Senior Financial Analyst will work on monthly close, budgets and forecasts, key financial reporting, ad hoc analysis, and tracking of sports rights payments and amortization.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support month-end close activities to ensure timely delivery of financial results
  • Support FX accounting and reporting
  • Prepare month-end reporting. Run system-generated reports and drill into details to be able to explain actuals vs budget and vs forecast variances
  • Prepare cash flow narratives and understand the functionality of how underlying activity translates into cash flow movement
  • Assist the Mexico finance team with local statutory reporting and reconcile with the Workday trial balance
  • Assist with all audit and tax requests and gathering data for quarterly and annual requests
  • Collaborate with operational leads on various activities such as timely invoice submissions, ensuring proper coding, month-end accruals, and forecasting/budgeting deliverables
  • Run monthly depreciation and fixed asset roll forward reports
  • Maintain associated program codes for slate of programming rights
  • Ensure month-end activities are accurate
  • Understand monthly trial balance activity and prepare balance sheet analysis
  • Perform ad hoc projects and reporting as required

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • BA/BS in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or another highly analytical/quantitative discipline
  • 3+ years of experience in budgeting and forecasting experience
  • Strong overall computer skills, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize activities, manage timelines, deal effectively with pressure, and show deep intellectual curiosity
  • Ability to be a team player with a highly collaborative and team-oriented work style
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with others and communicate effectively
  • Positive attitude and solutions-oriented approach
  • Fluent in written and verbal Spanish

NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER

  • Experience with Workday Financials, Reporting Tools, and Foundation Data Model (FDM)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $35.50-49.52 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
