The senior analyst is a trusted advisor who uses business analytics to understand the ministry drivers and make recommendations to management. Further, she or he prepares annual budgets, generates periodic forecasts, and analyzes trends in revenues, expenses, currency variations, and other business areas. The experienced analyst is also responsible for researching and reporting economic progressions to assist the organization's financial planning. At this career level, this analyst provides leadership and individual expertise in conducting major financial analyses for important issues. Using this high level of expertise, the analyst creates financial models of complex "what if" scenarios for future business planning decisions in areas such as new marketing programs and alternate ministry models. He or she often coaches and oversees the work of other analysts and related staff.

Acts as an advocate to raise the awareness of the needs of children. Understands Christ’s mandate to protect children. Commits to and prioritizes child protection considerations in all decision-making, tasks and activities across the ministry. Abides by all behavioral expectations in Compassion’s Statement of Commitment to Child Protection and Code of Conduct. Reports any concerns of abuse, neglect or exploitation of children through Compassion’s internal reporting process and appropriately supports responses to incidents if they occur.

Works with senior management to formulate major analysis plans and designing or developing complex questionnaires, tests, research plans, and other guides to ensure the necessary data is captured to perform an actionable analysis and recommendation.
Develop and Maintain Multi-Year Forecasts: Lead the preparation and analysis of multi-year financial projections for new country expansions and other strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Collaborate with Cross-Functional Neighbors: Partner with FP&A, Accounting, Global Program teams, and other departments to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and integrate data into comprehensive forecasts.
Manage and Optimize Financial Models and Tools: Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of cost calculators, budget tracking tools, and operational expense analysis models to support decision-making.
Provide Strategic Insights and Reporting: Deliver actionable insights through variance analysis, scenario modeling, and reporting on key projects such as Operation Expenses by Partners, special projects and initiatives.
Ensure Data Integrity and Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of processes, key files, and points of contact, while ensuring timely updates and knowledge transfer for ongoing projects.
Provides technical support for existing reports, dashboards, or other tools or systems, including design of related databases, spreadsheets, or outputs, as well as maintain a library of model documents, templates, or other reusable knowledge assets.
Coaches and provides expertise, and may oversee the work of other professionals and support staff in the financial analysis.
What do you bring?
Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
Ten years relevant experience working in this or a related field.
Certification from a nationally or internationally recognized organization in a related field.
