What the role involves:
As a Senior Financial Analyst – Venture & Digital Assets, you will operate at the intersection of early-stage investing, digital assets, and traditional finance. This senior role is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring investment opportunities across startups, private companies, and decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols.
You will play a key role in shaping investment decisions through deep financial analysis, thematic research, and the creation of high-quality investment materials. The role demands a balance of analytical rigor and innovative thinking, combining traditional financial expertise with an advanced understanding of blockchain, tokens, and real-world asset (RWA) tokenization.
This is a hands-on and strategic role suited for an experienced financial professional who can independently manage projects from concept to execution and contribute meaningfully to the firm’s investment strategy and decision-making process.
Investment Evaluation and Analysis
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and due diligence on early-stage startups, private companies, and digital asset projects.
- Review financial statements, unit economics, growth drivers, and valuation models to inform investment decisions.
- Draft investment memos, credit analyses, and research notes for investment committees and senior stakeholders.
Thematic and Market Research
- Build and maintain a database of market exposures, themes, and risk factors across both traditional (TradeFi) and decentralized (DeFi) markets.
- Identify emerging trends and investment opportunities in blockchain, crypto, and RWA-linked sectors.
- Provide insight into evolving financial technologies, market cycles, and sector-specific risks.
Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting
- Track performance of portfolio companies and digital asset holdings, including KPIs, financial results, and risk indicators.
- Produce detailed performance reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Recommend portfolio adjustments and investment strategies based on financial performance and market developments.
Process and Tools Development
- Design and implement productivity-enhancing models, dashboards, and analytical tools that improve decision-making efficiency.
- Contribute to developing and refining investment processes, ensuring high standards of transparency and accuracy.
Cross-functional Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate closely with the VP of Investments, CIO, and other investment and research teams.
- Present findings and recommendations clearly and confidently to senior leadership, investment committees, and external partners.
- Represent the finance function in cross-domain initiatives involving blockchain innovation, venture growth, and portfolio scaling.
Requirements
Who you are:
- Typically 8+ years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, private equity, or corporate finance.
- Demonstrated expertise in evaluating early-stage companies and digital asset investments.
- Advanced understanding of financial modeling, valuation, and credit/investment analysis.
- Proven experience writing investment memos and presenting to senior stakeholders or investment committees.
- Experience with blockchain, DeFi protocols, token projects, and real-world asset tokenization.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Experience designing and implementing investment processes, tools, or dashboards is a plus.
- Familiarity with regenerative medicine, biotech, or construction modeling.
- Exceptional analytical and financial modeling skills with the ability to interpret complex data across multiple asset types.
- Strong understanding of venture capital dynamics, token economics, blockchain systems, and RWA tokenization.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to design processes, tools, and frameworks that enhance team performance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of conveying complex financial insights to diverse audiences.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive, with a track record of taking ownership and driving projects independently.

The base salary for this position has a range of $xxx up to $xxxk per year at the commencement of employment. Any offer is determined by overall experience and performance during the interview process. This is only part of the total compensation package.
