In this role, you'll translate new revenue ideas into clear financial impact, shape strategy with business partners, and make sure the numbers behind our Fleet business are rock-solid and executable. You'll build robust financial models, provide actionable insights, and help drive decisions that improve profitability while ensuring our back office (A/R, A/P) and technical accounting can deliver.
You'll be the go-to FP&A partner for your area of the business, helping leadership hit the revenue and cost commitments in our Long Term Plan and telling the "why" behind the numbers. What You'll Do
- Serve as the lead analyst for the monthly forecast cycle, crafting the narrative, highlighting key drivers, and partnering with leadership on how to close gaps and achieve financial targets.
- Act as the primary point of contact for a wide range of stakeholders across the organization (finance, product, sales, accounting, operations), ensuring alignment and clarity on financial performance and strategy.
- Challenge and influence business decisions by delivering insightful financial analysis and business case modeling that clearly lays out risks, opportunities, and ROI.
- Actively manage your assigned budget and lead month-end and forecasting activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clear explanations of variances.
- Create and issue 20+ invoices per month to bill API services to Fleet customers and accrue the revenue via MJEs.
- Leverage Databricks to identify Fleet revenue and ensure it's correctly bucketed for managerial reporting and performance insights.
- Present key analysis, special topics, and strategic studies to Senior Leadership, up to and including the CFO of Software & Services, with clear recommendations and impact summaries.
- Track strategy changes approved throughout the year and ensure they are accurately reflected in the Long Term Plan (LTP).
- Contribute as an active, supportive team member, collaborating in a culture guided by GM's Values and Behaviors, where we win as one team and continuously look for better ways to serve our customers and business.
Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree preferably in accounting or finance
- 5 + years of experience in corporate finance or accounting
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Experience or familiarity with Hyperion/SAP/OneStream
- Advanced MSFT Office skills
