  • The Senior Finance Analyst is an onsite position Monday - Friday with Thursday as an optional work from home day.

Job Description

The Senior Finance Analyst will support the monthly reporting process, development of monthly forecasts and the annual budget process. The position requires solid analytical, organizational and communication skills. This role calls for a high-energy, detail-oriented individual with a passion for finance, accounting and being part of a high-growth company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and enhance financial models to analyze complex business scenarios, supporting the planning process and reporting, as well as ad-hoc analysis and decision-making.
  • Conduct variance analysis, research variances, and summarize differences between actual and budgeted figures.
  • Manage the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, covering financial and operational aspects of expenses.
  • Support the team in creating materials for management review of monthly financials, including for portfolio companies, and assist with strategic business decision-making.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and forward-looking analysis to support various departments and projects, proactively engaging business leaders in gap analysis and course correction.
  • Prepare cash burn estimates on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, ensuring financial accuracy.
  • Identify and assist in the implementation of enhancements to financial reporting and planning systems.
  • Support business units with KPI reporting on key operational, sales, and financial metrics.
  • Be a highly motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and lead change and operational improvements.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or another quantitative major 
  • 3+ year of related experience 
  • Investment Banking or Consulting experience is highly preferred  
  • Experience in financial modeling skills with the ability to independently create solutions and communicate results to executive management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as a technical aptitude for financial systems development, reporting, and automation 
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP for purposes of financial statement analysis 
  • Experience with a range of accounting ERPs and FP&A software 
  • Comfort working with individuals across all departments and job levels
  • Ability to handle competing deadlines – and shifting priorities – with minimal supervision
  • Willing to take feedback, learn and grow, an ethos of continuous self-improvement

Preferred Skills

  • Well-rounded financial reporting, planning, and analysis background.
  • Highly adept in Microsoft Excel with experience building and maintaining complex financial models.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Self-starter with flexibility and agility in a high-growth environment.
  • Master’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis within a corporate environment.
  • Previous experience working in a SaaS and/or Tech company highly preferred.

The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. In addition to the compensation listed, this position may be eligible for equity compensation, and a bonus or commission whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual or company performance. Base Salary Range
$102,750$137,000 USD
