The Senior Finance Analyst, Investor Relations, will play a critical role in providing data-driven, insightful financial analysis and reporting in support of the company’s Investor Relations (IR) function. This position partners closely with the Vice President of Investor Relations, Finance leadership, and Corporate Communications to ensure the investment community has a clear, accurate understanding of the company’s financial performance, strategy, and value drivers.
The ideal candidate brings a deep scientific understanding of the Life Sciences industry, coupled with analytical expertise, financial acumen, and exceptional communication skills to help translate complex financial data into compelling narratives for investors and analysts. This is a high-visibility role that provides exposure to senior leadership and an opportunity to learn the dynamics of strategic investor engagement and financial storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Develop, maintain, and analyze detailed financial models and data sets to support investor relations and corporate financial communications.
- Track and report business group and divisional performance versus plan, forecast, and prior periods, benchmark performance versus industry peers, in order to explain key variances and business drivers.
- Support the preparation of quarterly earnings materials, including scripts, Q&A documents, investor decks, and management talking points.
- Contribute to quarterly and annual guidance processes, integrating financial trends, external market data, and internal insights.
- Coordinate with FP&A and Business Finance teams to ensure alignment between investor messaging and internal forecasts.
Investor Communications Support
- Translate complex financial and operational data into clear, concise, and investor-relevant insights and narratives.
- Support the preparation of materials for investor meetings, conferences, and analyst events, including Investor Day, bespoke analyst / investor events, and quarterly earnings calls.
- Conduct peer, industry, and market research to benchmark performance and identify trends affecting company valuation and investor sentiment
- Attend relevant scientific conferences to meet with investors and analyze emerging trends in the Life Sciences industry relvant to shaping the company’s investment narrative
- Assist in reviewing analyst models and research to identify valuation drivers, assumptions, and discrepancies.
- Monitor shareholder ownership trends, analyst coverage, and key financial metrics to inform IR strategy.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Corporate Communications, FP&A, Treasury, and Legal to ensure consistency and accuracy of public disclosures and financial messaging.
- Collaborate with divisional finance teams to collect and validate financial data for investor communications.
- Provide analytical and operational support for ad hoc strategic and financial projects as the business evolves.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a STEM-related field required; graduate degree/equivalent via an MBA, MPA, MPH or CFA/CPA strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive finance experience via banking, equity capital markets or equity research.
Demonstrated experience of at least 5 years interacting with investors, sell-side analysts and senior company leadership within the Life Sciences industry.
Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation principles, and key performance metrics.
Proven experience developing financial models, dashboards, and analysis that drive business insight and executive decision-making.
Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills; proficiency with financial systems and analytics tools such as Factset, Bloomberg or Captial IQ.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. It includes the option to work remotely. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
