Role Overview

We are looking for experienced senior accounting and finance professionals to support an advanced project involving financial analysis, accounting guidance, and advisory support for small and medium-sized businesses.

The role combines hands-on QuickBooks Online (QBO) knowledge with strong accounting judgment and the ability to address complex, data-heavy finance questions. Ideal candidates have worked as Controllers, CFO Advisors, Finance Directors, Finance Managers, or senior financial consultants and have advised multiple businesses, preferably including US-based SMBs.

CONTRACT: Short-term contractor assignment, 10 weeks, with potential extension

COMMITMENT: Up to 40 hours per week

LOCATIONS: Remote, USA, India, Bangladesh, Brazil, Colombia, Indonesia, Turkey, Vietnam

NOTES: Hands-on QuickBooks Online experience and experience advising multiple businesses are important requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze financial and accounting data to identify issues, trends, and appropriate actions.
  • Respond to complex accounting, bookkeeping, and finance-related questions.
  • Provide practical accounting and financial guidance based on available business data.
  • Review transactions, financial records, and reports within QuickBooks Online.
  • Support questions involving financial reporting, bookkeeping workflows, reconciliations, and accounting treatment.
  • Provide advisory recommendations to SMB owners and finance stakeholders.
  • Interpret financial information and explain conclusions clearly and accurately.
  • Address both general support inquiries and more complex financial scenarios.
  • Apply sound professional judgment to ambiguous or data-heavy accounting questions.

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, financial consulting, or a related field.
  • Senior-level experience as a Controller, CFO/CFO Advisor, Finance Director, Finance Manager, VP Finance, or equivalent.
  • Hands-on professional experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Experience advising or supporting SMB clients or business owners on accounting and financial matters.
  • Experience working with or advising at least three different organizations.
