What You’ll Do

We’re growing our marketing team! Tekmetric is seeking a strategic, results-driven Senior Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of high-impact events, including our flagship Tektonic industry conference, national tradeshows, and regional field events.

In this role, you’ll shape event strategy, align cross-functional stakeholders, manage budgets, and deliver unforgettable experiences that strengthen brand awareness, deepen customer engagement, and drive revenue growth.Tektonic Industry Conference   
  • Serve as the lead planner for Tekmetric’s annual industry conference, overseeing every detail from strategy through execution.
  • Define event goals, themes, and attendee experience in partnership with internal stakeholders.  
  • Manage operations, vendor relationships, budgets, production timelines, and performance metrics to deliver a best-in-class experience.
Strategic Event Planning & Execution  
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, customer success, partnerships, and leadership to develop strategic event plans.
  • Work with Demand Generation and Brand teams to drive registration, attendance, engagement  to implement promotional strategies to increase event visibility. 
  • Identify target audiences and establish success metrics for each event.   
  • Stay current on event trends, technologies, and experiential marketing innovations. 
Tradeshow & Field Event Management  
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of tradeshow participation including booth selection, logistics, staffing, activations, and lead capture. 
  • Plan and execute field events, ensuring seamless integration of venue, catering, AV, and onsite logistics.  
  • Identify sponsorship opportunities and negotiate agreements to maximize brand presence and ROI.
Budget & Vendor Management   
  • Create, track, and manage detailed event budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and fiscal responsibility.  
  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendors, partners, and sponsors to deliver successful, high-quality experiences.    
Reporting & Optimization  
  • Create detailed post-event reports including attendance metrics, ROI, lead generation, and qualitative feedback.   
  • Use data insights to evaluate performance and continuously optimize future events. 
  • Document event details and outcomes for cross-functional visibility and process improvement.

This list of duties is not exhaustive. This position will be instrumental in supporting Marketing teams and will be expected to assist in any capacity needed to achieve individual, team, and company goals and initiatives. 


What You’ll Bring

  • 8+ years of professional experience—preferably in technology or SaaS—with a proven record of executing large-scale user or industry conferences.
  • Automotive industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and project management skills with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience measuring and reporting on event performance and KPIs.
  • Self-starter with a bias for action, resourcefulness, and ability to problem-solve independently.
  • Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Creative thinker who approaches events as opportunities to tell a story and engage an audience.
  • Experience in Google Workspace, HubSpot, Salesforce, Cvent and Notion a plus.
  • Travel to events will be required (25%)
  • Candidate must be local to Houston; this is a hybrid work model
