Based in San Francisco, this role is a key contributor to Datadog’s Global Events Team and will report to the Summit Group Manager. You’ll manage end-to-end delivery of multiple high-impact, cross-functional events, with a focus on project management, campaign strategy, and on-site execution. This is an exciting opportunity to grow the Datadog Summit series in new markets while collaborating with teams across marketing, communications, and sales. What You’ll Do:

  • Lead planning and execution of customer Summits across APJ, managing logistics, vendors, timelines, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Develop and implement scalable project management templates and workflows to support regional event planning
  • Host weekly stakeholder meetings to ensure alignment across marketing, brand, events, comms, and other key teams
  • Own and maintain internal communication channels such as project pages, update decks, dashboards, and Confluence sites
  • Collaborate on integrated communication strategies including promotional emails, social media, and customer messaging
  • Analyze event performance and marketing campaign results to optimize future events

Who You Are:

  • Event marketer with 6–8 years of experience managing international B2B events (tech industry preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver events in APJ markets; prior experience in Australia, India, Japan, or Korea preferred
  • Strong vendor and agency management skills, with a track record of successful onsite execution
  • Organized, resourceful, and capable of managing multiple projects independently
  • Curious, results-oriented, and comfortable navigating a fast-paced, high-growth environment
  • Proactive problem solver with a willingness to take on a wide range of tasks

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We understand not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay. If you’re passionate about technology and want to grow your skills, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits and Growth:

  • Generous and competitive benefits package
  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan
  • Continuous career development and pathing opportunities
  • Employee-focused best in class onboarding
  • Internal mentor and cross-departmental buddy program
  • Friendly and inclusive workplace culture

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
