Scopely is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our Monopoly GO! Technical Foundations team. This role is fully remote and open to candidates located within the continental United States time zones.
Are you passionate about designing scalable game architecture, building elegant and resilient systems, and developing frameworks that empower other engineers?
We're looking for driven individuals eager to expand their knowledge and coding expertise in a collaborative, high-performing environment. If you have the potential, we want to see it—your unique skills, qualifications, and experience will shape your role and title. Join us and become part of a team that values talent, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
At Scopely, we care deeply about what we do and want to inspire play, every day - whether in our work environments alongside our talented colleagues, or through our deep connections with our communities of players. We are a global team of game lovers who are developing, publishing and innovating the mobile games industry, connecting millions of people around the world daily.
Monopoly GO! is a key franchise that has become Scopely’s largest game, enjoyed by millions of players. The team is based in Canada, Europe and the US, and works every day to create captivating new experiences for our players.
What You’ll Do:- Contribute to the design, development, and scaling of gameplay systems, tools, and pipelines for Monopoly GO!, one of the world’s most successful mobile games
- Collaborate with designers, artists, data analysts, and other engineers to bring ideas to life and continuously improve the player experience
- Build clean, performant, testable code across a variety of systems — gameplay, LiveOps tooling, backend integration, and more
- Prototype new features, systems, and AI-assisted workflows that unlock speed and creativity across the team
- Learn from (and with) a world-class engineering org, while helping shape the future of how we work
What We’re Looking For:
- Have solid programming fundamentals in any language, a passion for creating experiences players love, and a curiosity for solving tough problems.
- Are inquisitive about how AI can improve creativity and productivity — whether it’s prompt workflows, automation, or integrating AI tools into content pipelines.
- Think like a systems designer: how things scale, how they evolve, how to keep them clean and efficient
- Have experience with (or interest in learning) Unity and C#, plus relevant tools like Git, Docker, or cloud services
- Bring a unique lens — whether that’s a self-taught dev, a career hopper or even an entirely new creative discipline. The more unconventional, the better
- Contributions to creative or technical projects: games, tools, mods, art, code, anything you’re proud of
- Familiarity with backend systems, data pipelines, or infrastructure and observability
- Prior exposure to shipping live games, but we’re happy to teach you that part
At Scopely, we create games for everyone - and want to ensure that the people behind our games reflect that! We are committed to creating a diverse, supportive work environment where everyone is treated with respect. We are committed to providing equal employment opportunities and welcome individuals from all backgrounds to join us & embrace the adventure!
