Job Summary
Responsible for all the aspects of architecture, design and implementation of Data Management solution using Big Data platform on Cloudera or Hortonworks and other areas of enterprise application platforms.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Supports gathering data and requirements, and collaborates with business architects and internal support areas within Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) areas to support technical reporting needs.
- Creates reports to meet user requirements using Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Develops and implements reports with repeatable processes to satisfy Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), regulatory, health plan, functional area, and executive reporting requirements.
- Develops best practices for report development, report distribution and archiving that complies with federal and state statutes.
- Drives analytic engagement among interdepartmental customers including, but not limited to IT, finance, actuarial, claims, support center, utilization management, and clinical teams.
- Facilitates automation of recurring reports, data transformations, data imports, and data exports using Databricks SQL and Jobs; develops, implements and maintains automation schedules and strategies for coordinating health plan and functional area automation efforts.
- Oversees optimization of SQL queries, creation and tying of SQL indexes to improve efficiency and query performance; develops, implements and maintains indexing strategies on key analytic data sources, and develops and enforces standards for query runtime and efficiency.
- Implements database management policies for updating, reviewing, archiving, and removing database objects.
Job Qualifications
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree
Required Experience
• 5-7 years of data management experience.
• Experience in building stream-processing systems, using solutions such as Kafka, Storm or Spark-Streaming.
• Proven experience on Big Data tools such as, Spark, Hive, Impala, Polybase, Phoenix, Presto, Kylin, etc.
• Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources (using ETL tool such, Talend, etc.).
• Experience building solutions with NoSQL databases, such as HBase, Memsql.
• Strong experience on Database technologies, Data Warehouse, Data Validation & Certification, Data Quality, Metadata Management and Data Governance.
• Experience with programming language such as, Java/Scala/Python, etc.
• Experience implementing Web application and Web Services APIs (REST/SOAP).

Master's Degree

• 7-10 years of data management experience.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
