IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking a Senior Email Marketing Specialist. As a part of our growing Email Marketing team, you will help elevate our email marketing program and engage our customer and prospective base of administrators, educators, and families at all stages of their lifecycle.

You will partner with content and creative teams, marketing managers, and business stakeholders to take emails from concept to delivery and you will be responsible for building the email in Salesforce Marketing Cloud. Using email best practices and implementing A/B testing, you will optimize response and conversions while striving to create the best possible user experience.

This is a full-time position in our San Mateo, CA headquarters office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Develop, manage, and launch dynamic end-to-end email marketing campaigns
  • Manage design requests, feedback and timelines 
  • Work seamlessly in partnership with the content, design, engineering, and product teams
  • Performance analysis: Continuously optimize email campaigns through testing, measuring impact, and iterating for improved results in alignment with organizational goals
  • Technical oversight: Collaborate with IT and ESPs to maintain and optimize email infrastructure, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement enhancements
  • Identify, initiate, and develop complex email system-related improvements and efficiencies. Work independently and take initiative to question things
  • Keep up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in email marketing
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • BA/BS degree required
  • 4+ years of email marketing experience
  • 2+ years working in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, building emails, templates, dynamic fields, and automated journeys
  • Proficient with HTML and SQL 
  • Proficient with audience segmentation, list management, and email deliverability
  • Proven performance history of planning, executing, and analyzing A/B and multivariate testing
  • Exceptional project management skills, extremely detail-oriented, and ability to multitask
  • Excellent problem-solving skills: able to anticipate obstacles and identify opportunities
  • Solid interpersonal skills: You are a team player with effective written and verbal communication skills, and can work cross-functionally with stakeholders
  • Identify, initiate, and develop complex email system-related improvements and efficiencies
  • A deep understanding of email marketing best practices

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The base salary range for this full-time position is $85,000 to $110,000 + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
