The role

Raydar is recruiting for this opportunity through the Paraform network. The position is with our client. Own electrical system integration for robotic hardware, combining power electronics, sensor integration, and hands-on electromagnetic compatibility work.

What you'll do

- Design and validate motor drivers, power electronics, and sensor circuits.

- Define grounding, shielding, filtering, and cable strategies.

- Integrate sensors and communications at the circuit-board level.

- Debug hardware and electromagnetic interference in the laboratory.

- Balance performance, reliability, manufacturing, cost, and schedule across disciplines.


Requirements

What we're looking for

- 5 to 12 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.

- A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, robotics, mechatronics, or a related field.

- Ownership of electrical hardware from schematic and layout through bring-up, validation, and production.

- Hands-on EMC/EMI design and debugging experience.

- Strong PCB layout, power electronics, analog circuit, and system-level design skills.

- Ability to explain tradeoffs across electrical, mechanical, firmware, and controls teams.

Bonus points

- Robotics, drones, electric vehicles, or motor-driven system experience.

- Sensor integration and CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C, or RS-485 experience.

- Base salary: USD 180,000 to 240,000 per year.

Location and work model

- Full-time onsite in San Mateo, in the San Francisco Bay Area of California.

- Visa support is described for O-1, H-1B, and TN categories; eligibility is reviewed during hiring.
