The Opportunity

Unity Technologies is building a premier Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team. Our mission is to create a safe working environment by mitigating human-made or naturally occurring risks that threaten occupational health or safety at Unity offices, while building the data, systems, and insight that let us demonstrate that safety performance to the wider business.

We are now ready to add a Senior EHS Program & Regional Manager. This is a hybrid role that pairs hands-on regional ownership with a global program mandate. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global EHS & Corporate Sustainability, you will own EHS delivery across Unity's AMER offices. You will also lead a defined set of global EHS program work-packages that span the AMER, APAC, and EMEA regions.

On the regional side, you will craft, develop, and lead company EHS policies, programs, and processes for the Unity offices located within the AMER region, ensure compliance with applicable local, national, and company EHS regulations, and serve as the region's lead EHS specialist on regulatory matters, management systems, technical standards, and EHS innovation. On the program side, you will own how the global EHS function measures, monitors, and reports its performance - turning the data in our EHS platforms into trends, scorecards, and insight that drive continuous improvement across all three regions.

What you'll be doing

  • Own EHS delivery across Unity's AMER offices: develop and lead the EHS policies, programs, and processes that keep our sites compliant with local, national, and company requirements.

  • Support how the global EHS function measures performance: set baselines, leading and lagging indicators, and targets across AMER, APAC, and EMEA, and report trends and scorecards to leadership.

  • Own the global EHS data architecture: define how data flows through our EHS platforms, run routine data-quality audits across all three regions, and act as the function's platform administrator and power user.

  • Track evolving AMER EHS laws and regulations and translate them into Unity standards, training, and a compliance calendar, conducting risk assessments and partnering with the relevant stakeholders to close any gaps.

  • Serve as the region's lead technical advisor on health & safety

  • Manage AMER EHS vendor relationships: set KPIs, monitor performance, and certify completed work against contractual terms.

What we're looking for

  • Experience leading or implementing Environment, Health & Safety programs, processes, policies, operations, or related engineering functions at a global level.

  • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety, such as IOSH, NFPA, NEBOSH IGC1, IGC2, GC3, and OHSAS 18001 is highly desired.

  • Knowledge of AMER EHS legal requirements (i.e.: Regulations, Codes, Standards, Directives, and Administrative Policies) and management systems (i.e. OHSAS18001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, or similar accredited EHS management systems).

  • Familiarity with EHS risk assessment methods and a proven record of implementing appropriate risk mitigation strategies.

  • Ability to work independently but also take direction from organizational leadership as needed.

  • Organized and detail-oriented approach to implementing short-term and long-term work plans.

  • Proficiency in using software applications to develop learning material and related graphics.

You might also have

  • Experience in the tech sector with comfort in learning new software systems.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal and customer service skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving methodology.

  • Passion for building and nurturing a fun, positive, and collaborative culture.

Base Salary Range:

Zone B: $131,100 - $196,700 USD

This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
