Point C is seeking an experienced Senior EDI Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of complex healthcare EDI solutions. This role will take ownership of high-impact projects, mentor junior team members, and collaborate directly with clients, trading partners, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless, secure, and compliant healthcare data exchange.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation and configuration of EDI solutions for healthcare transactions (837, 834, 835, 278)

  • Design and maintain eligibility feed processes and trading partner connections

  • Interpret and apply X12 documentation and standards to ensure compliance

  • Architect and oversee EDI mapping, transformation, and automation solutions

  • Develop advanced tools and workflows using JavaScript, C#, and SQL Server

  • Mentor junior developers, review code, and provide technical guidance

  • Troubleshoot complex transmission, mapping, and integration issues

  • Drive process improvements for scalability, security, and performance

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience with healthcare EDI and X12 transaction sets, including insurance workflows, claims processing, and eligibility systems

  • Strong development skills in JavaScript, C#, and SQL, with expertise in EDI mapping, transformation, and integration best practices

  • Experience with version control systems (Git), CI/CD processes, and leading EDI implementation projects from design to go-live

  • Solid knowledge of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security standards

  • Experience with ETL tools, APIs, and EDI translation software (preferred)

  • Familiarity with additional programming languages such as Python or PowerShell (preferred)

  • Background in regulated industries and enterprise-scale systems (preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience (preferred)

Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible for additional compensation, including bonuses, and merit increases. Additionally, certain roles have the opportunity to receive sales commissions that are based on the terms of the sales commission plan applicable to the role.
