  • Strategic Advising: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, including C-Suite and SVPs, delivering actionable insights and influencing decisions on talent strategy, structure, and performance.
  • Organization Design for GenAI Efficiency: Drive initiatives reimagining organizational design and workforce planning in a GenAI-enabled environment which increase revenue per employee by enabling smaller, more efficient teams empowered by technology.
  • Future-Focused Learning & Development: Develop scalable, modern L&D programs that focus on upskilling, continuous learning, and preparing leaders and teams for the evolving nature of work.
  • Culture at Scale: Build and sustain a high-performance culture as Apollo scales. Define cultural principles and rituals that reinforce our values in a distributed-first model.
  • Remote-First Excellence: Drive strategies to ensure Apollo’s remote model is a competitive advantage—minimizing misalignment, communication breakdowns, and disengagement while maximizing inclusion, collaboration, and velocity.
  • Talent Strategy Execution: Partner with managers to build and implement career growth frameworks that nurture Apollo’s exceptional talent and flex with business needs.
  • Data-Driven Decision-Making: Leverage engagement survey results, talent analytics, and external benchmarks to design targeted action plans and drive continuous improvement.

  • Organizational Readiness: Partner with senior leaders to ensure talent readiness for Apollo.io’s ambitious 2025 product roadmap and beyond.
  • Change Leadership: Build trust quickly with stakeholders across functions, navigating ambiguity and complexity while driving alignment and results.
What We’re Looking For
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with 5+ years in strategic HRBP roles supporting technical teams and leading global HRBP and L&D teams.
  • Demonstrated success in building and evolving HR functions in fast-growing, high-performing environments.

  • Experience driving culture initiatives in a remote-first or hybrid company, with a focus on sustaining connection, alignment, and performance.
  • Excellent data fluency, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Transparent, solutions-oriented communicator with strong business acumen and a bias for action.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
