We’re looking for a Senior Director, Talent Acquisition (TA) to join Procore’s People Team. In this role, you’ll own Procore’s full-lifecycle talent acquisition function—leading a team of FTE and contract recruiters across all major hiring verticals while serving as a key architect of our Integrated Talent model. This isn’t a transactional recruiting role—it’s a seat at the table for a talent leader who believes recruiting is the engine of organizational capability.

As a Senior Director, Talent Acquisition, you’ll partner with Talent Operations & Analytics, Talent Management & Development, FP&A, and senior business leaders to drive full-lifecycle recruiting across Procore’s core hiring verticals. Use your expertise in AI-powered recruiting, data-driven talent operations, and team leadership to build pipelines that power Procore’s growth and shape how we attract, assess, and develop talent at scale. Procore is redefining how the construction industry builds—and we’re equally intentional about how we build our teams. Join us.

This position reports to the VP, Talent and will be based in our Austin, TX office (Bay Area considered). We’re looking for someone to join us immediately.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead and develop a team of full-lifecycle recruiters (FTE and contract) across all major hiring verticals—including Product & Technology, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, G&A, Executive, and International—ensuring delivery against Procore’s headcount plan.

  • Champion AI adoption across the recruiting lifecycle—from intelligent sourcing and screening automation to candidate engagement, funnel analytics, and predictive talent pipelining.

  • Partner with FP&A and People Partners on workforce strategy to define and deliver headcount plans, and build talent pipelines.

  • Drive a data-informed recruiting culture by owning funnel conversion rates, cost-per-hire, pipeline health dashboards, and capacity modeling—partnering with Talent Operations to optimize the ATS (Workday) and the broader recruiting tech stack.

  • Serve as the TA lead for Procore’s Integrated Talent strategy, ensuring alignment between external hiring criteria and internal talent frameworks, and collaborating with the Talent Management & Development team on internal mobility.

  • Design and iterate on structured interview frameworks and assessment practices that reduce bias and improve quality-of-hire, while owning Candidate and Hiring Manager CSAT metrics and closing gaps through a continuous feedback loop.

  • Champion a premium candidate experience that reflects Procore’s employer brand and culture, setting and holding the bar for recruiter performance across quality of hire, time-to-fill, and hiring manager satisfaction.

What we’re looking for:

  • 12+ years of progressive talent acquisition experience, including 5+ years leading large recruiting teams in a tech or high-growth environment.

  • Demonstrated track record managing full-lifecycle recruiting across multiple functions (engineering/product, GTM, G&A) and geographies, preferably in a public company or PE-backed enterprise environment.

  • Hands-on experience deploying AI and automation in recruiting workflows—including AI sourcing tools, screening automation, and analytics platforms such as Gem, Eightfold, Findem, SeekOut, HireEZ, or equivalents.

  • Strong command of ATS platforms (Workday preferred) and the ability to build, read, and act on recruiting dashboards and funnel analytics without depending on an ops team to translate the data.

  • Player-coach orientation with low ego and high accountability—comfortable rolling up sleeves while also developing the team, and credible in the room with senior business leaders, FP&A, and C-suite executives.

  • Practitioner-level understanding of inclusion in recruiting: structured interviewing, bias mitigation, and equitable sourcing strategies.

  • Experience working within an integrated TA/TM model—connecting acquisition strategy to performance and talent development outcomes—strongly preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
