Senior Director, Talent Acquisition, (AMER/EMEA Lead)
San Mateo, San Diego preferred, Open to US Remote (willing to travel quarterly*)

PlayStation is seeking a Sr. Director, Talent Acquisition leader to help evolve PlayStation TA and redefine the way we recruit talent into the PlayStation community. The position will be responsible for defining and implementing our AMER/EMEA Talent Acquisition Strategy, building strong partnerships with key customers across the globe, leading our early career and intern programs, directing our Global Contingent Worker program and driving the delivery of best-in-class TA Operations including but not limited to, programs, training, reporting and processes.

With both a strategic lens and passion for detail, you lead people and bring a servant leadership approach to bear. We’re looking for a leader with a growth approach and a willingness to roll up their sleeves to deliver!

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement strategic, data-driven recruitment initiatives to support all divisions within SIE, with a primary focus on Corporate and Engineering in AMER and EMEA
  • Collaborate closely with Executives and partners to provide thought leadership for recruiting philosophies, processes, tools and tactics for both executive and non-executive talent acquisition needs
  • Build a data-driven recruiting organization and process, including analytics, and dashboards, using an existing ATS, and a culture of continuous improvement using data insights to shape our operational roadmap and priorities
  • Create training programs and ways of working with hiring managers and interviewers that continually improve their capabilities
  • Partner with HR leaders and hiring managers across businesses to deliver exceptional recruiting services in support of the overall objective to recruit top talent
  • Partner with leaders to drive recruiting-related initiatives that make SIE a great place to work for all talent
  • Ensure that all managers receive training on recruitment and selection process, including record keeping requirements
  • Develop and implement Strategic Growth projects in support of long-term vision goals
  • Drive our Global Contingent Worker program and best practices in this space
  • Benchmark industry competitors introducing intelligence into the ways of working and overall operation to drive success
  • Identify trade and professional conferences to strategically recruit and brand the SIE business in the marketplace
  • Handle various talent acquisition vendors including recruiting agencies, background check service, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor

Qualifications:

  • Over 15 years of experience in recruiting across all levels, from entry-level to executive, within high-growth environments
  • Extensive leadership in talent acquisition, including 5+ years managing managers and team leads, and over a decade of experience overseeing recruitment operations in geographically dispersed settings
  • Ability to use storytelling to effectively communicate employee experience to candidates and internal stakeholders
  • Exhibits cultural competence and agility, embracing diverse perspectives to foster engagement and inspire innovative solutions to complex challenges
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor senior leaders on strategic workforce issues
  • Tremendous emotional intelligence and great judgment make you a trusted partner of SIE business leaders, an inspirational leader to your team, and a trusted coach to senior candidates
  • Proven ability to create programs and plans that ensure SIE gets to know and attracts the best talent out there before they are even actively searching
  • Ability to create an internal talent acquisition team for employee development and mobility
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current HR/talent, and the ability to think outside of what’s been done before to come up with the best solution to impact a 3–5-year horizon
  • Ability to learn/flex and adapt to changing business needs, modeling the strength of adaptability
  • Strong analytical mindset—leveraging data to uncover insights, tell compelling stories, and drive strategic decisions.
    • Naturally inquisitive, you seek to understand and solve problems by instinctively turning to data.
    • Fluent in recruiting analytics, with expertise in building and optimizing systems and processes to enhance efficiency and impact
  • Strong innovator & strategic problem solver: can envision and create an enhanced acquisition strategy for a growing diverse workforce
  • Responds positively to stressful situations, demonstrating initiative in conflict resolution
  • Adaptable, resilient, and quick to recover from setbacks
  • Proven track record to influence, manage a budget, as well as vendors

At SIE, we consider several factors when setting each role’s base pay range, including the competitive benchmarking data for the market and geographic location.

Please note that the base pay range may vary in line with our hybrid working policy and individual base pay will be determined based on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location.

$261,000$391,400 USD
