Beauty Co-Lab, powered by OMG, is seeking a Senior Director Strategy, based in the Los Angeles area, to work within the Luxury Division. This is a hybrid position that leads IAT (Inter-Agency Teams) for LA based brands alongside leading strategy across the remaining portfolio.
For IAT, this individual plays a critical role in orchestrating the collaboration among various agencies that service L’Oréal’s Consumer Connections Teams — media, creative, content, CRM, influencer — and the client.
Outside of IAT leadership responsibilities, the successful candidate will collaborate across a matrixed organization working closely with divisional pod leads & analytics teams, alongside centralized strategy leadership to develop consumer, category and cultural insight, deliver best-in-class strategies while strengthening client relationships across a portfolio of brands. You’ll be a catalyst for collaboration, inspiring integrated teams, translating data into strategy, and helping clients turn complexity into clarity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Strategy: Develop breakthrough strategies rooted in human insight and commercial impact, helping brands navigate today and plan for tomorrow.
- Connect Insight to Action: Craft strategic narratives that seamlessly integrate consumer, category, cultural, and company intelligence. Elevate briefs, plans, and presentations with a sharp storytelling lens.
- Build Meaning from Data: Synthesize performance metrics, social listening, brand tracking, and broader data sets into meaningful strategy and actionable recommendations.
- Inspire Great Work: Help write award case studies, shape POVs, and support the creative ambition of the agency through insight-fueled narratives and strategic provocations.
- Drive Senior Client Conversations: Help clients see around corners. Build credibility with senior stakeholders and translate strategy into L’Oréal-specific impact.
- Orchestrate Across the Ecosystem: Lead and unify integrated agency teams (media, creative, retail, influencer, analytics) as well as build consumer-led media ecosystem that deliver best-in-class, full-funnel activations.
- Champion Collaboration: Work fluidly across disciplines, supporting pod leads and partnering closely with Central teams (CDMO), senior strategy, planning, and activation leads.
- Category Analysis and competitive trends: Develop ongoing client-facing communications that outline new and fresh competitor campaigns and strategic approaches within Beauty and luxury, with clear L’Oreal-specific actions & recommendations
IAT leadership
- Strategic Alignment:
- Ensure all agencies align with the brand’s overarching goals and objectives, facilitating a holistic strategy across all agencies and all channels.
- Ensure that the holistic strategic response is on brief and on brand. Review and challenge the content before being presented to the client group.
- Upon initial alignment with the client, encourage innovative thinking and creative mindset from all agencies, ensuring that the client benefits from breakthrough strategies and ideas.
- Communication Facilitation:
- Act as the primary point of contact, encouraging clear and consistent communication among all parties. This includes coordinating meetings, distributing key information, and promptly addressing issues.
- Foster a collaborative environment by encouraging idea sharing, leveraging each agency's strengths, and promoting teamwork to achieve the best outcomes for the client.
- Communicate delays to the client group as needed and appropriately manage expectations and tradeoffs with all agency stakeholders.
- Planning Process Management:
- Lead the development of an overarching planning process incorporating inputs from all agencies and the client.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of plans, ensuring timelines, budgets, and expectations are met.
- Track the progress to ensure timely completion.
- Optimize ways of working and maintain the process as the need arises.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Partner with all agencies to develop a holistic measurement framework that helps evaluate campaign and initiative performance, providing a singular view of the campaign's performance against the brand’s overarching goals and objectives.
- Relationship Management and Problem Solving:
- Address any conflicts or challenges that arise during the collaboration process, ensuring swift resolution to maintain the momentum.
- Project Management:
- Ensure key stakeholders from all agencies are aligned on process and workflow
EXPECTED PROFILE
- Track record of strategy development —ideally 10+ years in marketing, media, or brand strategy—where you've elevated the thinking and the work across large, integrated teams.
- Strategic thinker and exceptional operator, leveraging data-driven approach to inform decision-making and drive effective actions
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships with senior clients and internal stakeholders, with an ability to confidently communicate with precision and purpose, and develop organic growth opportunities
- Mastery of insight development and storytelling—crafting strategies that are audience-led, culturally attuned, commercially minded, and creatively inspiring.
- Experience authoring or supporting award-winning case studies (e.g. Cannes, Effies, MMA, etc.) and building narratives that connect business impact with creative excellence.
- An agile, collaborative mindset—comfortable working in matrixed organizations and inspiring teams across varied disciplines.
- Curiosity for culture, a love of beauty, and a genuine enthusiasm for the changing consumer landscape.
- Comfortable navigating complex structures and thrives in ambiguity and exhibits curiosity to learn and brings new strategic thinking to keep elevating deliverables.
- Prior category experience in Beauty or Luxury preferred
- Expert user of data analytics platforms (Propriety tools, MRI, GWI, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to manage IAT/ cross-agency teams
- Proven, strong cross-functional and cross-agency management, interpersonal communication, and collaboration skills
- High level of competency in Project Management and coordinated client service
- Successfully balances high levels of initiative, proactivity and autonomy, alongside inspiring team collaboration and coordination to reach one unified goal
- Operational ability to challenge and evolve team structures and operating models to deliver across all client assignments with strategic thinking and excellence at the center.

This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.
This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
