Opportunity!We are seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead and scale our global engineering organization. In this strategic leadership role, you will grow distributed engineering teams, elevate technical excellence, and ensure delivery of business-critical digital solutions across industries.
Reporting to the VP of Product Engineering Services, you will combine deep technical expertise with a consulting mindset—guiding client transformation initiatives, strengthening engineering practices, and shaping how software is designed, delivered, and scaled at Modus Create.
Requirements:- 15+ years of experience in software or product development, with 7+ years in senior engineering leadership roles
- Proven experience scaling distributed, global engineering teams
- Strong point of view on modern architecture, engineering best practices, and agile delivery
- Experience modernizing platforms and delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions
- Deep understanding of Agile/Lean methodologies and scalable system design
- Strong pre-sales, proposal development, and technical solutioning experience
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Design, Data, and AI teams
- Demonstrated ability to create career paths, performance frameworks, and learning cultures
- Excellent communication skills across executive, technical, and cross-cultural environments
- Strong customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering measurable business outcomes
- Experience in global consulting or high-growth technology environments
- Background in industries such as healthcare, financial services, life sciences, or automotive
- Experience developing reusable delivery frameworks, technical standards, and engineering playbooks
- Demonstrated success growing engineering leaders and fostering inclusive, high-trust teams
- Leading a global engineering organization focused on excellence and impact
- Shaping modern digital platforms and transformative client solutions
- Mentoring and growing the next generation of engineering leaders
- Collaborating across product, design, data, AI, and growth teams to deliver integrated solutions
