Position Summary
The Senior Director, Sales – Specialty Capture is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth across NEP’s Specialty Capture business, including RF wireless systems, robotics, specialty cameras, and emerging capture technologies.
Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesBusiness Development- Own and exceed annual revenue and growth targets for the Specialty Capture business.
- Identify, qualify, pursue and close new business opportunities across sports, broadcast, entertainment, corporate and live event markets.
- Expand share of wallet within existing strategic customers.
- Develop account growth strategies for priority customers.
- Build executive relationships with broadcasters, leagues, rights holders, production companies, venues, teams and agencies.
- Lead commercial strategy for complex Specialty Capture pursuits.
- Serve as the senior commercial representative for the Specialty Capture business.
- Regularly visit customer productions and facilities to understand workflows and identify opportunities.
- Partner with Production, Technical Operations and Engineering to develop innovative customer solutions.
- Translate production challenges into commercial solutions utilizing RF, robotics, specialty cameras, remote production and related technologies.
- Represent NEP at industry conferences, demonstrations and customer events.
- Maintain a healthy sales pipeline with accurate forecasting in Salesforce.
- Lead commercial strategy for strategic pursuits and bids.
- Develop pricing strategies with Commercial Finance.
- Prepare proposals, presentations and business cases.
- Collaborate with regional sales teams to identify cross-selling opportunities.
- Coach and mentor Sales Executives and Account Managers.
- Improve sales discipline, account planning and pipeline management.
- Support onboarding and development of new commercial talent.
- Share commercial best practices across the organization.
- Partner with Engineering, Technical Operations, Production, Product Management and Operations.
- Ensure customer commitments align with operational capability.
- Provide market intelligence to influence investment decisions and product roadmap.
- Identify emerging trends, competitive threats and new revenue opportunities.
- Operate in accordance with NEP's Commercial Operating Model, consistently adhering to commercial governance, sales processes, pricing discipline, account planning standards, pipeline management and deal approval requirements.
- Utilize Salesforce as the single source of truth for all customer, opportunity, pipeline, forecast and account planning activities. Maintain timely, complete and accurate CRM data to support forecasting, business planning and executive reporting.
- Ensure all sales opportunities progress through the defined commercial stage-gate process with accurate forecasting, documented next steps and appropriate commercial approvals.
- Champion commercial excellence by modeling best practices in CRM adoption, pipeline hygiene, account planning and data-driven decision making while coaching Sales Executives and Account Managers.
- 10+ years of sales, business development or commercial leadership experience within broadcast, live production, media technology or sports production.
- Demonstrated success winning complex technical sales opportunities.
- Strong understanding of RF systems, robotics, specialty cameras, remote production and broadcast workflows.
- Established relationships across broadcasters, leagues, production companies and sports organizations preferred.
- Strong CRM discipline; Salesforce experience required.
- Extensive travel (approximately 40–60%)
