Position Overview: 
SKIMS is seeking a strategic and results-driven Senior Director of Production to lead the end-to-end production lifecycle for our Intimates, Swim, and Shapewear categories. This individual will oversee seasonal and core production calendars, manage global vendor relationships, and drive operational excellence across sourcing, cost negotiation, and on-time delivery. The ideal candidate will bring deep experience in technical product categories, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for process optimization and cross-functional leadership. 
 
Key Responsibilities: 
·      Brings extensive hands-on experience working directly with vendors, including in-country problem-solving, cost engineering, and quality issue resolution—offering a critical advantage over remote-only vendor management. 
·      Lead production strategy and execution for Intimates, Swim, and Shapewear—managing seasonal development through bulk delivery. 
·      Own the critical path and T&A calendars; ensure all milestones are met across product lifecycle. 
·      Manage vendor allocation, capacity planning, and onboarding to support evolving business needs. 
·      Partner closely with Design, Product Development, Technical Design, Merchandising, and Planning to ensure feasibility, margin goals, and timely execution. 
·      Lead cost engineering and margin optimization conversations with suppliers, balancing quality and brand standards 
·      Drive consistent WIP management, monitoring order status, delivery windows, and production risks; proactively problem-solve to mitigate delays or quality concerns. 
·      Oversee raw material liability, MOQ management, and bulk fabric commitments in collaboration with sourcing and planning teams. 
·      Lead and mentor a growing production team, fostering a high-performance culture grounded in accountability, innovation, and teamwork. 
·      Evaluate and implement systems and tools to increase operational efficiency and scalability. 
 
Qualifications: 
·      10+ years of progressive production experience within intimates, swimwear, or technical product categories, preferably in a high-growth or contemporary/luxury brand. 
·      Strong background in global sourcing, vendor management, and price negotiation. 
·      Experience managing both vertical and licensed production models a plus. 
·      Deep understanding of garment construction and technical materials such as stretch fabrics, compression garments, and molded cups. 
·      Proven track record of meeting margin and delivery targets while scaling complexity and volume. 
·      Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 
·      Highly organized, detail-oriented, and solutions-focused with the ability to pivot quickly. 
·      Proficiency in PLM, ERP, and production tracking systems. 
·      Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft 365
