Summary of Role:

Reporting to the Senior Vice President and General Manager, Silicon Photonics Business Unit at GLOBALFOUNDRIES, the Sr. Director of Product Marketing will be developing, growing and managing the product portfolio. Silicon Photonics products target applications in the communications infrastructure, datacenter, automotive, and industrial IoT markets. GF carries the market leading solution, differentiated by monolithic integration, electro-optical testing capabilities, and a variety of fiber attach options. This position will drive business and market execution for the portfolio including complex multiyear business negotiations with customers.

The preferred location is Austin, TX or Santa Clara, CA.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Work with the sales and market teams to build and grow the design-win funnel. This includes opportunity qualification, engagement and closure to grown revenue for the product line while maintaining profitability.
  • Develop product pricing, positioning, placement and messaging that differentiates the portfolio in the marketplace. This includes working with sales and market teams to identify new markets and opportunities to grow the portfolio revenue.
  • Plan, manage and execute all marketing activities during the life cycle of a product. Create and deploy compelling presentation collateral to articulate the value of GLOBALFOUNDRIES’ solutions to the customer and end-users to drive adoption.
  • Drive comprehensive understanding of the competitive landscape and build strategies to address gaps.
  • Interface with customers, field sales/applications, market teams to support design wins.
  • Manage on an on-going basis all opportunities related to the portfolio including price escalations, customer visits, sampling activity etc.
  • Drive the business case including scope, schedule, resources, demand, and pricing model to deliver a technology solution at returns consistent with GLOBALFOUNDRIES growth objectives.
  • Create a sense of urgency and drive clarity across multi-functional teams to achieve business objectives. Identify issues and address them head-on using data to move complex multi-site programs forward.
  • Serve as a champion of GLOBALFOUNDRIES technology solutions with strong external presence at technology conferences, trade shows, webinars, etc.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Engineering or related field
  • 10+ Years of Experience in Semiconductor Product Company
  • Deep knowledge of & established connections within datacenter supply chain
  • Travel Requirements: 25%-40% of travel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Materials Science, Engineering and/or Business Administration
  • Language: Fluency in a second language to support high growth markets
  • The individual will need to possess deep knowledge of semiconductor technology along with broad technical and business skills to be successful in the role.

Expected Salary Range

$189,600.00 - $358,000.00
