Reporting directly to the SVP, this leader will deliver 5-star products to market and collaborate on business and go-to-market strategy with key partners across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of successful, profitable programs for SharkNinja Connected Products category, ensuring continued growth and innovation in the product portfolio.
- Oversee new product development from ideation through mass production, partnering with the SVP to define the strategic roadmap and direction for the category.
- Manage, mentor, and grow team members (from Intern to Director level), providing guidance, ensuring product success, supporting professional advancement, and holding the team accountable for their deliverables.
- Serve as an expert people manager, adept at navigating people, conflict, and resource management.
- Drive the definition and development of product specifications, integrating consumer needs, market opportunities, and cutting-edge technologies as the primary consumer advocate.
- Steer the development of user-relevant design targets for product performance and user experience, championing these targets across engineering, design, and marketing teams.
- Partner with Consumer Insights to develop testing objectives and incorporate consumer feedback into product specifications and design iterations.
- Collaborate with testing and quality teams to define and manage quality and performance testing procedures for robotics and connected products.
- Manage product cost structure, reporting, and cost rationalization, working with supply chain, merchandising, and planning teams on sourcing strategies.
- Provide oversight for go-to-market collateral, including instructional materials and consumer-facing product specifications.
- Oversee the development of product troubleshooting guides and FAQs to support a 5-star consumer experience post-purchase.
- Act as the category expert for cross-functional team questions and concerns.
- Lead high-visibility, cross-functional breakthrough initiatives that accelerate business impact and career growth.
Basic Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in product development, product marketing, engineering, or related fields, preferably within consumer robotics or connected products.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience hiring, managing, and leading teams with varying levels of professional experience.
- A consumer-first mindset for introducing new products/processes and improving existing ones.
- Strong ability to "manage up," communicate priorities, and seek feedback from leadership.
- Relationship-building skills across multi-functional teams and excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Highly effective communication skills-both written and verbal, including presenting to executive leadership.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to learn and grow in a dynamic, innovative environment.
- Ability to embrace transparency, adapt to shifting priorities, and focus on continuous improvement.
