You will be starting on offense; the product line (4.5+ star apps & responsive web experiences), business, and tech (modern front-end stacks with significant backend re-architecture just beginning) provide a healthy start, with lots of upside to realize.  Now, we need you to be a key part of our next chapter -  embarking on the mission to create the best consumer-focused platform for running the “business of life,” in email and beyond. This role will be a people manager reporting directly to the Vice President, Business Development Yahoo Mail. 

About the role:

Yahoo Mail is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Partner Management to lead and nurture our critical partnerships that drive significant revenue for Yahoo Mail. The ideal candidate will possess a strong strategic mindset, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing existing business partnerships. This role requires a collaborative leader who can manage a team, foster strong relationships with partners, and work cross-functionally to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnership Management:

  • Lead and manage existing partnerships to maintain revenue growth and enhance the value proposition of Yahoo Mail.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize the potential of current partnerships.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key partners, ensuring their needs are met and fostering long-term, mutually beneficial relationships.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with internal teams including Product, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Support to ensure alignment and support for partnership initiatives.

  • Coordinate with the finance team to monitor and report on the financial performance of partnerships.

  • Work closely with legal and compliance teams to manage contract negotiations and ensure adherence to company policies.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Monitor and analyze the performance of partnerships, identifying areas for improvement and growth.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to the General Manager and senior leadership team on partnership status, performance metrics, and strategic initiatives.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and optimize partnership strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in partner management, business development, or strategic alliances, preferably within the technology or digital services sector.

  • Proven experience in managing high-value partnerships and driving significant revenue growth.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a high degree of autonomy.

The compensation for this position ranges from $159,140.00 - $346,075.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
