Know where you belong!
Match Group is a leading provider of dating products across the globe. Our portfolio includes Tinder, Hinge, Match, Meetic, PlentyOfFish, OkCupid, The League, HER, and others, each designed to spark meaningful connections for singles worldwide. Creating a sense of belonging doesn’t stop at our products - it’s the foundation of every team we hire.

When it comes to dating, the connection starts online, but the real magic happens once you meet in real life (IRL).  We think the same is true for creating the best platforms, so we work together IRL 3 days/week.

Marketing is becoming more data-driven, automated, and AI-enabled—and the technology behind it needs to evolve just as quickly. Across Match Group, our Global Media & Growth organization supports paid acquisition and organic growth for Tinder, Hinge, Match, and our broader portfolio. We have an opportunity to build shared technology and data capabilities that improve acquisition efficiency, accelerate experimentation, and scale what works across brands.

The Senior Director, Growth Technology & Platforms will lead the team responsible for MarTech Engineering, Marketing Data Foundations, Technical Program Management, and Organic Growth. You’ll lead and grow a multidisciplinary team of approximately 10, developing technical leaders and functional experts while building scalable solutions across our global portfolio. As the function evolves, there’s opportunity to expand into additional areas of Growth Technology.

Near-term priorities include improving mobile measurement and optimization signals; scaling AI-powered campaign automation and performance intelligence; advancing creative technology and experimentation; and strengthening the data foundations that enable more effective acquisition and growth. You’ll determine how to sequence these investments based on business value, technical readiness, and where shared capabilities can create the greatest leverage.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Growth Technology Strategy & Roadmap: Set the strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities for the function, translating paid and organic acquisition needs into scalable capabilities and measurable impact. Make thoughtful build, buy, and partner decisions that maximize the value of our technology investments.

  • Team & Capability Leadership: Lead and grow a multidisciplinary organization spanning engineering, data foundations, technical program management, and Organic Growth. Establish clear ownership, strong operating rhythms, and a culture of technical excellence, accountability, collaboration, and business impact.

  • Performance Marketing Technology & Enablement: Lead the technical capabilities that power paid acquisition across platforms such as Meta, Google, TikTok, and Apple Ads. Advance mobile measurement, conversion tracking, event and predictive value signals, audience activation, campaign automation, and creative performance intelligence to improve acquisition efficiency and incremental growth.

  • MarTech & Data Foundations: Build the shared technology and trusted marketing data infrastructure that power growth capabilities across the portfolio. Partner closely with Core Data, Analytics, and Engineering to ensure reliable data, clear ownership, and scalable integrations.

  • AI-Powered Growth Operations: Scale AI-enabled capabilities that transform how performance marketers plan, launch, optimize, and learn from campaigns—including campaign management, performance intelligence, creative testing and feedback loops, and human-in-the-loop agentic workflows.

  • Creative Technology & Experimentation: Build shared creative infrastructure, asset governance, and performance feedback loops that improve creative velocity and learning. Advance technical capabilities for acquisition experimentation, landing-page optimization, and conversion improvement.

  • Organic Growth & AI Discovery: Position Match Group for the next era of organic discovery by building a centralized capability across SEO, ASO, GEO, and AI Search. Develop the team, tooling, and playbooks that help brands act on emerging opportunities and scale learning across the portfolio.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with brand and functional leaders across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data, Analytics, and AI/ML to identify high-value opportunities and mobilize teams to bring them to life. Build alignment around shared priorities and connect expertise across the organization to accelerate impact.

We Could Be a Match If:

  • You have 12+ years in marketing technology, growth engineering, advertising technology, or platform leadership, with experience building and leading multidisciplinary teams.

  • You’ve owned a technology or platform strategy, roadmap, and investment priorities, including build/buy decisions and accountability for business impact.

  • You understand paid acquisition and performance marketing technology, including mobile measurement, conversion tracking, optimization signals, audience activation, and campaign automation.

  • You have the technical depth to engage credibly with senior engineers, evaluate architecture and platform tradeoffs, and understand how data, identity, measurement, and automation connect.

  • You’ve partnered with Analytics, Data Science, or ML teams to turn measurement needs and predictive models into scalable growth capabilities, and have experience applying AI-enabled automation to marketing workflows.

  • You can lead effectively across Marketing, Product, Engineering, Data, and Analytics, communicating strategy, tradeoffs, and investment recommendations clearly to senior leaders.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in consumer subscription or multi-brand portfolio businesses

  • Exposure to SEO, ASO, GEO/AI Search, or other Organic Growth capabilities

  • Experience with creative technology, personalization, or conversion optimization

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
