About the Role:

FamilyWell Health is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Finance to lead our financial strategy and operations as we scale our impact in women's health. This leadership role will drive financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making across the organization. The Senior Director of Finance will be a key strategic partner to the CEO, providing financial insights that guide our rapid growth and expansion into new markets. Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Financial Leadership
  • Lead comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes across all service lines, geographic markets, and operational functions
  • Communicate financial performance, risks, and opportunities to key stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives
  • Establish financial targets, KPIs, and long-term strategic objectives
  • Provide strategic financial guidance on business and market expansion
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports to be presented to the Board of Directors and investors
Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Oversee all FP&A activities including variance analysis, performance reporting, and actionable insights delivery
  • Drive deep-dive analyses of revenue drivers, reimbursement trends, payor mix optimization, and value-based payment structures
  • Lead financial modeling for Collaborative Care CPT codes (99492, 99493, 99494) and other fee-for-service behavioral health codes
  • Establish and monitor key financial and operational metrics, including contribution margins by service line and market
Financial Operations & Compliance
  • Establish scalable finance processes, systems, and controls to support rapid organizational growth
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Oversee accounting operations, revenue recognition, and financial controls
  • Manage audit processes and ensure compliance with healthcare industry regulations and accounting standards
  • Implement and optimize financial systems, including ERP, FP&A tools, and business intelligence platforms 
QualificationsRequired Experience & Skills
  • 7-10 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 3-5 years in senior finance roles ( Director level and above)
  • Strong background in high-growth technology or healthcare companies, preferably with startup or scale-up experience
  • Proven experience in financial planning, modeling, and analysis with demonstrated ability to support strategic decision-making
  • Experience building finance processes and capabilities in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to translate complex financial concepts for non-finance audiences
  • Analytical thinking with strong business acumen and ability to influence business decisions
  • Mission-driven mindset with passion for improving healthcare outcomes
  • Self-starter comfortable with ambiguity and building processes from the ground up
Healthcare Industry Experience
  • Healthcare finance experience strongly preferred, particularly in provider organizations or health tech companies
  • Experience with Collaborative Care Model billing, mental health services, or women's health preferred
Education & Certifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • MBA or related Advanced Degree preferred
