ControlUp is a leader in Digital Employee Experience (DEX), evolving IT operations with agentic AI to deliver Autonomous Endpoint Management (AEM) and a digital workspace that runs itself.

Our platform transforms millions of real-time signals into intelligent action, bridging the gap between deep visibility and automated remediation. We turn "IT headaches" and employee frustration into self-healing operations, allowing organizations to move beyond reactive troubleshooting toward a future where technology works seamlessly in the background.

We’re here to ensure the workday runs without disruptions. No tool sprawl, no wasted time, and no friction. Just technology that works for people, not against them, so they can stay focused on what they do best.

One platform. One powerful shift in how work flows.

About the Role:

ControlUp is seeking a VP of Ecosystem & ISV Integration Strategy to define and drive our ecosystem strategy across key enterprise technology domains, including ITSM, Digital Employee Experience (DEX), Autonomous Endpoint Management, and Security. Reporting to the Office of the CTO, this leader will play a critical role in setting strategy and driving execution for how ControlUp integrates with and delivers value alongside strategic ISV partners.

This is a highly cross-functional, outward-facing role that blends strategy, product development, and ecosystem leadership. The ideal candidate brings deep technical and product expertise, a strong point of view on platform ecosystems, and a proven ability to translate market trends into actionable integration and partnership strategies.

What You’ll Own:

    Ecosystem & Integration Strategy
  • Define and own ControlUp’s ISV integration strategy across priority ecosystems

  • Identify and prioritize strategic ISV partners based on customer needs, market trends, and product synergies.

  • Establish a clear framework for evaluating build vs. partner vs. buy decisions related to integrations.

  • Develop and maintain multi-year ecosystem roadmaps aligned with ControlUp’s platform vision.

  • Drive key integration initiatives from concept through delivery in partnership with Product and Engineering leadership

  • Product & Roadmap Alignment

  • Partner closely with Product Management and Engineering to align integration strategy with ControlUp’s product roadmap.

  • Bring deep expertise in product development and strategy to influence architectural decisions, including API design, extensibility, and platform capabilities

  • Ensure integrations deliver meaningful customer outcomes and align with broader platform capabilities.

  • Advocate for ecosystem-driven features, APIs, and developer experience within core product development.

  • Business Case Development & Prioritization

  • Build robust, data-driven business cases to support integration investments, partner prioritization, and resource allocation.

  • Define success metrics and ROI frameworks for ISV integrations, including impact on adoption, retention, and expansion.

  • Guide executive decision-making with clear trade-offs, financial modeling, and strategic rationale.

  • Partner with Finance, Product, and GTM teams to ensure alignment between investment priorities and business outcomes.

  • Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work across Product, Engineering, Sales, Business Development, and Marketing to operationalize integration priorities.

  • Serve as the central point of coordination for ISV-related initiatives within the Office of the CTO.

  • Enable go-to-market teams with clear positioning, messaging, and value propositions for key integrations.

  • Where applicable, mentor and scale a small but high-impact team over time

  • Strategic Partner Engagement

  • Build and maintain senior-level relationships with strategic ISV partners.

  • Collaborate on joint solutions, co-innovation opportunities, and technical alignment.

  • Drive partner engagement from early exploration through execution, including joint planning and delivery.

  • Represent ControlUp in partner-facing and industry forums.

  • Market & Thought Leadership

  • Stay ahead of trends in enterprise IT ecosystems, including ITSM, DEX, endpoint automation, and security platforms.

  • Provide thought leadership internally and externally on the role of integrations and ecosystems in driving customer value.

  • Influence ControlUp’s long-term platform and ecosystem vision.

  • Translate market insights into actionable integration and partnership strategies.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 15+ years of experience in enterprise software, with a strong focus on product strategy, product development, integrations, or platform ecosystems.

  • Deep technical background with strong understanding of modern software architectures, APIs, and integration frameworks.

  • Proven experience influencing product roadmaps and platform strategies, working closely with product management and engineering teams

  • Demonstrated ability to build compelling business cases, including financial modeling and ROI analysis, to drive prioritization and executive decision-making.

  • Experience working with or within ecosystems such as ITSM, endpoint management, observability, or security platforms.

  • Strong executive presence with the ability to engage both internal stakeholders and external partners.

  • Ability to operate at both strategic and tactical levels in a fast-paced environment.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

  • Global : You’ll work with a diverse team spanning the US, EMEA, and Israel. We’re known for our vibrant social culture, and once a year, the entire global company comes together for a major offsite to reconnect in person.
  • Meaningful Impact: Make a real impact from day one, working with cutting-edge technology in a fast-paced, global environment.
  • Collaborative & Growth-Driven: Join a collaborative, empowering culture where learning and professional growth are encouraged.
  • True Flexibility: We offer a hybrid model. We care about the output of your expertise, not the hours you spend in a specific chair.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
