Noodle is seeking a results-driven Senior Director, Digital Marketing to lead paid digital media strategy and execution to help achieve our university partners’ enrollment objectives. In this role, you will manage and mentor a team of Digital Marketing Specialists, overseeing campaigns across paid search, paid social, programmatic, and affiliate channels. You will be responsible for driving high-quality leads, optimizing performance, and delivering data-backed strategies that meet enrollment goals. This is a hands-on leadership role for a marketing expert who thrives at the intersection of strategy, analytics, and execution.

As our Senior Director, Digital Marketing, you will…

Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead the development of full-funnel digital marketing strategies designed to acquire qualified leads and drive enrollment for our university partner’s programs
  • Manage, coach, and grow a team of Digital Marketing Specialists, ensuring excellence in execution and professional development
  • Serve as the internal owner of paid media and lead generation best practices

Campaign Oversight & Channel Management

  • Oversee the planning, execution, and optimization of paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn, YouTube, programmatic platforms, and affiliate channels
  • Guide audience targeting, budget allocation, bid strategies, creative testing, and landing page strategy in collaboration with the team
  • Evaluate and implement new tools, channels, and vendors to improve campaign effectiveness

Performance Management & Reporting

  • Own KPIs across paid lead generation and cost efficiency throughout the enrollment funnel, including but not limited to, conversion rate, cost per prospect, cost per application and cost per acquisition
  • Work closely with analytics and operations teams to ensure data accuracy, actionable insights, and consistent reporting across all client campaigns
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews with team members and provide clear strategic recommendations to stakeholders

Client Strategy & Collaboration

  • Act as a senior marketing advisor in client meetings, providing strategic direction and media performance insights
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, web, SEO, CRO, and CRM teams to align campaign assets and downstream lead nurturing with media strategy
  • Support new client onboarding and strategic planning, including media forecasts and channel mix recommendations

You have:

  • 8+ years of experience in digital marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing paid media teams or demand generation functions
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent certifications/experience, MBA a plus
  • Proven track record of managing direct reports; must have experience coaching and mentoring individual contributors
  • Hands-on expertise with paid search, paid social, programmatic display/video, and other performance media
  • Strong understanding of lead generation, attribution modeling, and full-funnel marketing for service-based or enrollment-driven businesses.
  • Prior experience in higher education marketing or online learning preferredExperience leading the testing of new media channels for demand generation
  • Experience with agency/media research tools to understand audiences and project future demand
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships  and communicate across all levels of the organization, develop and motivate talent, inspire innovation, and lead a team to achieve high-impact results
