About the role

We’re seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Client Partnerships to join our expanding Media Sales team, reporting directly to our SVP of Media Sales. This role will make a sizable impact on our thriving media business by working with the largest agencies and advertisers to unlock significant untapped opportunities. Not only will this person be critical to our revenue organization, but they will also help shape the next phase of growth at our company and within the in-store retail media space.

At this time, we are prioritizing candidates based in the NY metropolitan area. 

Responsibilities
  • Exceed Revenue Goals: Surpass revenue targets by strategically managing an expansive account list of high-profile brands and agencies. You will be bringing in new business as well as growing revenue from existing clients.
  • Build a Strong, Consistent Pipeline: Maintain a consistent flow of deals through RFPs and proactive pitches while driving a high level of meeting activity.
  • Consistent, Strategic Client Engagement: Leverage in-depth knowledge of assigned clients, including internal structures, brand priorities and agency partnerships to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Effectively Lead Client Meetings: Plan and host strategic and effective meetings with agency and client partners ranging from junior to C-level executives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with internal teams such as Marketing, Data and Revenue Operations to drive your revenue generation and optimize your external market presence.
  • Be a Sales Leader and Culture Builder: Shape and contribute to our company culture as we head into our next phase of growth!
Who we're looking for
  • Minimum 5 years of media sales experience, preferably in digital, video, retail media or digital OOH.
  • Background in digital, programmatic or video media.
  • Proven success in exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong instincts on navigating complex agency teams, client teams and finding key decision-makers.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence high-level stakeholders.
  • Resourceful and effective in small, fast-paced team environments.
  • Extremely productive with prospecting, client outreach, booking meetings, and generating pipeline opportunities.
  • Strong instincts in running effective client meetings and ensuring actionable next steps.
  • Outstanding organizational skills, with a focus on accountability and follow-through (both internally and externally).
  • Ability to manage pipeline, forecast accurately, and prioritize deals effectively.

  • Experience structuring and negotiating larger upfronts or joint business partnerships.
  • Experience with CPG brands.
  • Success in growth-oriented or start-up environments.
  • Strong instincts on negotiating and ability to leverage benefit trade offs to secure bigger partnerships and account growth.

Compensation

As a part of our commitment to transparency, we use a market-based formula that provides consistency across roles & experience levels and publish all of our compensation data internally for our team. We’re looking for someone who’s senior-level, so here are the potential levels and on-target-earnings:

  • IC5: $162,000 (base) / $324,000 (OTE)
  • IC6: $178,000 (base) / $356,000 (OTE)

In our initial conversations, we’ll discuss what level best aligns with your experience.

Alli Giusti joined Grocery TV in January 2025, bringing 8 years of experience from BuzzFeed along with extensive background in video and digital OOH. She offers deep expertise across multiple areas of the media landscape and is passionate about building and leading our media sales team into its next phase of growth. This presents an exciting opportunity to join alongside Alli and help shape the future of this team together.

3. Hiring Manager interview

This will be a high-level conversation with your future manager, Alli. You’ll meet with them in person at our office in Union Square to dive into the details of the position and your experience. 

4. Mock sales presentation with the hiring team

You’ll showcase your technical and presentation skills in a mock sales meeting where you’ll pitch Grocery TV to us as if we were a new client. Some preparation will be required. This session will take place onsite with the hiring team.

5. Values interview with collaborative teams

Chat with two people who work collaboratively with your role to give us a clear idea of how you’ll work with others. This will be done remotely.

6. Leadership interview

Last but not least, you’ll meet with one of our co-founders to make sure your values and career goals align well with our team.
