Quindar

Quindar builds modern, cloud-native satellite mission operations software with a simple mission: to operate satellites like servers. Our platform replaces fragmented, legacy ground systems with an integrated, automation-driven approach that brings modern software velocity to space operations.

We're a small, fast-moving team with deep aerospace and software roots, energized by big challenges and motivated by the impact we have on real missions in this next chapter of the Space Age. If you want to work with sharp, ambitious people who push boundaries, move quickly, and are excited to take space operations to the next level, Quindar is the place to do it.
Senior Director of Business Development – U.S. Government
We are hiring a Senior Director of Business Development to help scale Quindar’s U.S. Government business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for defining and executing multi-year growth strategy, capturing high-value programs, and building a durable, repeatable revenue engine.

You will operate as a key business owner for the government segment alongside the Director of BD and working cross-functionally across product, engineering, and leadership to align market demand with company strategy.

What You’ll Do

Own the Government Business Line

  • Help define and execute Quindar’s multi-year strategy across DoD, USSF, SDA, and the IC

  • Own pipeline development, capture strategy, and program execution across priority opportunities

  • Make portfolio decisions on where to invest, compete, and partner

Drive Strategic Growth & Capture

  • Lead end-to-end capture for high-value programs, from early shaping through award

  • Influence requirements and acquisition strategy pre-RFP

  • Architect winning approaches across prime/sub positioning and teaming strategies

  • Deliver against revenue targets and strategic program milestones

Build and Scale the Growth Engine

  • Establish repeatable capture processes, pipeline discipline, and forecasting rigor

  • Build and lead a high-performing BD and capture team over time

  • Mentor and develop junior team members as the organization scales

Shape Market Position & Partnerships

  • Build and maintain senior relationships across government stakeholders (program offices, acquisition leaders, mission owners)

  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with primes and ecosystem players

  • Position Quindar as a critical infrastructure layer for space operations

Influence Company Strategy

  • Translate government demand signals into product and roadmap priorities

  • Partner with product and engineering to align capabilities with mission needs

  • Help define pricing, packaging, and go-to-market strategy for government customers

What Success Looks Like

  • Secures key lighthouse programs and expands presence within priority accounts

  • Builds a high-quality, predictable pipeline aligned with company goals

  • Develops repeatable capture and partnership playbooks

  • Lays the foundation for a scalable government business unit

What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of experience in government BD, capture, or growth roles

  • Proven track record owning and winning complex programs ($50M+), including OTAs, BAAs, IDIQs, or equivalent

  • Deep understanding of DoD, USSF, SDA, and/or IC acquisition environments

  • Experience shaping opportunities pre-RFP and influencing program direction

  • Strong network with senior government stakeholders (program execs, acquisition leaders, mission owners)

  • Experience working with both primes and emerging technology vendors

  • Demonstrated ability to build and scale teams, processes, and pipeline infrastructure

Clearance
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Why This Role Matters

Quindar is moving from early adoption to scaled deployment across national security missions. This role will define how we win—and repeat—at that next stage.

You won’t just close deals. You’ll build the system that makes them predictable.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
