Lead audience insights and marketing research for Spectrum News, advising senior executives on audience strategy, product planning, and competitive positioning. Manage research projects, analyze quantitative and qualitative data, build dashboards, present findings, and drive data-informed decisions across editorial and business teams.

This position is responsible for leading marketing research activities that support programming strategy, audience and customer loyalty research, and strategic product planning and customer analysis for Spectrum News. Must be able to bring nuanced insights into audience and programming strategy by being well versed in industry trends and company initiatives. This leader must be able to develop holistic research plan, anticipate business needs, and deliver actionable audience and market insights. This role requires thorough understanding of data analysis and methodology. This role has a wide-reaching impact on the company's ability to make better business decisions in a variety of functional and levels, including communication with the most senior levels of the organization.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for managing the audience insights function across the business in alignment with organizational programming objectives.
Provide senior executives with consumer and industry insights on a range of strategic topics including brand perception, competitive positioning, and insights to help inform product planning, industry-wide trends, and competitive research and insights.
Direct high visibility projects to identify and resolve issues of strategic importance to the organization.
Proactively identify areas of opportunity and/or improvement based on trends in the data and use these insights to inform new products and/or operational improvements.
Act as the internal expert on planning, execution, measurement, and ROI metrics from an audience data perspective.
Present data/research insights to editorial teams and key stakeholders across business functions.
Deliver best-in-class research through expert project management, team management and development of strategic recommendations.
Identify opportunities to use data to develop new strategies and improve business performance while utilizing knowledge of mathematical modeling and other optimization methods to perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
Analyze marketing and first-party data to evaluate performance, identify trends, insights, and audience opportunities that inform marketing and engagement strategies.
Build and maintain dashboards, connecting multiple data sources, to provide stakeholders with real-time analytics data driven presentations with impact
Perform other duties as requested.
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to analyze and interpret primary data, including gap analysis, satisfaction and loyalty research
Ability to identify research requirements for understanding shortfalls/excesses to appropriate marketing plans, programs, initiatives and directives
Ability to communicate deliverables, timelines and obstacles to direct management
Proficient in MS Office and strong working knowledge of key customer analysis tools and solutions
Ability to document, prepare and present executive level presentations
Proven team and relationship building skills
Proven leadership and mentoring skills
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Research, Marketing, Business, Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to manage all phases of a large project from beginning to end with significant autonomy
Knowledge of all major research methodologies, leading companies, associations, publications, industry trends and innovations
Knowledge of cable television, internet, media and telephony products and services

$169,800.00 and $361,000.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
