The Role

At SoFi, we're building AI capabilities that fundamentally change how our teams operate, innovate, and serve our members. We're looking for a Senior Director, AI Enterprise Transformation to lead enterprise-wide AI adoption by partnering with technology and business leaders to identify, prioritize, and deliver high-impact AI initiatives.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role for someone who combines deep technical understanding of modern AI technologies with exceptional executive influence and change leadership. You will work across Engineering, Product, Enterprise Architecture, Data, Corporate IT, Operations, and business functions to accelerate AI adoption, establish best practices, and drive measurable business outcomes.

Success in this role requires someone who can translate emerging AI capabilities into scalable enterprise solutions while inspiring teams across SoFi to embrace new ways of working. You will serve as both a strategic advisor and transformation leader, helping shape SoFi's AI roadmap and ensuring AI investments deliver meaningful impact across the company.

What You'll Do

  • Lead enterprise-wide AI transformation initiatives that improve operational efficiency, employee productivity and growth for SoFi.
  • Partner with executive leadership to develop and execute SoFi's AI transformation strategy and roadmap.
  • Identify high-value opportunities for Generative AI, Agentic AI, automation, and intelligent workflows across the enterprise.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to technology and business leaders, helping teams understand AI capabilities and prioritize investments.
  • Drive organizational change management by building excitement, adoption, and confidence around AI across technical and non-technical teams.
  • You will lead a team of product managers and software engineers/forward deployed engineers who should partner with business teams and build agentic solutions that drive material outcomes.
  • Develop frameworks, governance models, and operating principles that enable responsible and scalable AI adoption.
  • Lead complex cross-functional programs from strategy through implementation, ensuring measurable business outcomes.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies, vendors, and market trends to inform SoFi's long-term AI strategy.
  • Build executive-ready business cases and communicate AI strategy, progress, and outcomes to senior leadership.
  • Establish KPIs to measure AI adoption, operational improvements, and business value realization.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team as the AI Enterprise Transformation function grows.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience leading enterprise technology strategy, digital transformation, consulting, enterprise architecture, or AI initiatives.
  • Deep understanding of modern AI technologies, including Generative AI, LLMs, Agentic AI, AI platforms, and enterprise AI architectures.
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale, cross-functional transformation programs within complex organizations.
  • Experience partnering with senior executives and influencing decisions across multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise technology architecture, cloud platforms, data ecosystems, and software development practices.
  • Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes for executive audiences.
  • Exceptional executive communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience establishing governance, operating models, and best practices for emerging technologies.
  • Track record of delivering measurable business value through technology transformation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience building or scaling enterprise AI Centers of Excellence.
  • Financial services or fintech experience.
  • Experience in management consulting with firms such as Slalom, EY, Accenture, Deloitte, McKinsey, BCG, or Bain, leading technology or AI transformation engagements.
  • Experience with AI product strategy, AI operations, or enterprise AI governance.
  • MBA or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline.
Compensation and Benefits
The base pay range for this role is listed below. Final base pay offer will be determined based on individual factors such as the candidate’s experience, skills, and location.
