Role Summary

Provides counsel and advice to top management on significant Product Management matters, often requiring coordination between organizations. Responsible for product management efforts for a significant product/brand supporting product direction, advertising, pricing, budgets, profit and future development plans. Interfaces with multiple departments including sales, marketing, and actuaries to develop product requirements and specifications. Prepares and coordinates product introductions and updates. The position seeks opportunities to maximize product/brand exposure and sales and is an advocate and champions of their product's brand. Interprets internal or external issues and recommends solutions/best practices. Solves complex problems; takes a broad perspective to identify solutions. May lead or manage sizable projects. Focuses on providing thought leadership and technical expertise across multiple disciplines. Recognized internally as “the go-to person” for the most complex Product Management assignments. Note: Product Management roles may include a blend of Product Management/Product Development responsibilities.

The Senior Digital Strategy Manager is directly responsible for the Cigna Individual & Family Plan (IFP) digital experience for prospects, customers, and producers/brokers. The Senior Digital Strategy Manager’s role is to help drive innovation, definition and execution of digital experiences that help integrate IFP customers and producers in a single ecosystem working in close collaboration with key stakeholders. Work closely with internal and external direct-to-consumer, sales and service operations teams, product managers, designers, developers, and architects to develop new product ideas and coordinate rapid, smooth, and successful product launches. Think through opportunities to use new technologies, and deliver awesome digital experiences.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Developing multi-year digital roadmap for Individual & Family Plan (IFP) products in conjunction with Cigna's digital strategy and roadmaps by partnering with Medicare business.
  • Enabling a differentiated shopping and enrollment guidance and human-centered support across the distinct stages of shopping journey for prospects.
  • Implementing robust self-service experience on web and mobile app for all Medicare customers starting with basic foundational capabilities to differentiated and transformative experiences.
  • Enabling integrated producer experience for IFP across web and Sales CRM.
  • Owns and manages the digital experience for web and mobile applications inclusive of prospect, customer, and broker’s digital interactions with Cigna, as well as integration approach with enrollment systems to help scale and flex to meet business growth.
  • Manages business delivery components (e.g., requirements, content, Agile stories, etc.) in coordination with IT and Design delivery components.
  • Responsible for ensuring products delivered meet the constituents’ needs in a high quality manner through appropriate testing and UX rigor.
  • Drives solutions using fact-based metrics, measurements, and research.
  • Manages requirements delivery and traceability to capabilities and the business case.
  • Coordinates impact assessments across all major programs impacting the digital experience.
  • Effectively partners with Marketing for communication to constituents (internal and external).
  • Lives and breathes the voice of the customer.

Additional Detailed Responsibilities

  • Defines/prioritizes the scope based on business metrics aligned with the appropriate delivery budget and delivery sequence.
  • Partners with technology, design, and other business stakeholders/matrix partners for execution of multi-year strategy.
  • Accountable for defining voice of the customer capability requirements and prioritizing requirements for delivery based on customer, market, and business value.
  • Assesses key market factors, including competitive landscape, digital landscape, constituent insights, and unmet customer and provider needs to develop innovative products, services and programs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Expert knowledge in digital product management and development, with demonstrated ability to own digital (web and mobile – iOS/Android) products.
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge of healthcare products, and Salesforce experience.
  • Strategic thinker, capable of thinking outside the healthcare box and focus on world-class experiences.
  • Ability to drive results, lead cross-functional teams, influence others, and foster collaboration.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, ability to define metrics that inform product decisions.
  • Comfort with diving into the technical details with systems analysts, developers and architects.
  • Requires a BA/BS degree, and 5+ years of experience in digital product strategy and/or development


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 133,900 - 223,100 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
