Location: Remote
Position: Full-time (9-month limited-term position)
Salary: $78,000

Authentic is an award-winning digital agency specializing in fundraising, advertising, online organizing, and more. We lead this industry with a focus on developing unique and creative digital programs for our clients. We are looking for a Temporary Senior Digital Strategist, Paid Media to join our team for a limited term of nine (9) months. 

Senior Digital Strategists are expected to run point on leading a book of clients, working independently to meet client needs with minimal monitoring from management– to run digital programs that meet our award-winning standard. This position reports to the Director of Paid Media and pays a fixed starting salary of $78,000 annually, per our company’s transparent employee compensation. This is a union position represented by the Campaign Workers Guild.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients for paid media work at the company
  • Contribute to preparing client call agendas
  • Lead on answering client queries, drafting client memos and other client communication
  • Develop fundraising projections and texting calendars for the paid media team
  • Translate media plans to actionable requests for our paid media buying team
  • Develop, set, and execute digital paid media strategy for our clients to meet their goals
  • Brainstorm and develop creative ideas for our clients, write, fact-check, and proofread content before it goes out
  • Help liaise between the client and the data team for purchases of email lists
  • Respond to topics in real-time by assisting in drafting ads in response to news stories that are breaking fast
  • Contribute to a collaborative culture that helps improve our work product
  • Ensure all content is rooted in the authentic and honest voice of the client, and that each program is unique, relevant, and timely
  • Tailor ad strategies to the unique needs of each client and circumstance. Think outside the box to rely less on traditional methods and look to innovate.
  • Work with designers, email strategists, and vendor partners to meet your client's needs as necessary
  • Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the issues and a passion for electing Democratic candidates and advancing the progressive movement
  • Experience in client management, copywriting, and digital ad campaigns
  • Experience developing strategy on digital advertising programs and/or fundraising texting programs for campaigns and causes 
  • Proven effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines
  • Proficient computer skills and familiarity with Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel
  • Able to work extended hours when needed/for rapid response moments
  • Eager to learn and self-educate
  • Committed to getting things right – pays close attention to detail and doesn’t stop trying

Additional Information:

  • Work environment: This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, etc.
  • Physical Demands: This is a largely sedentary role. The ability to look at screens for extended periods of time is required.
