JOB DESCRIPTION

Fox News Digital is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Digital Engineering team. We love what we do and we’re looking for passionate, talented people to help us lead, grow and achieve our goals. Joining Fox Corporation is a singular opportunity to be part of a highly successful, dynamic team that has transformed the way people get their information. You will be responsible for improving and maintaining software development, test and live infrastructure. Your primary mission is to work closely with the development, technical operations, quality assurance, and product management teams, to ensure the timely delivery of robust technical solutions for platforms under the Fox Digital Product Team. You are self-motivated, articulate, have experience with Linux, and are comfortable working in a fast-paced development environment.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and promote new DevOps tools to simplify the build process and entire continuous delivery pipeline
  • Support and assist the organizations development teams with getting code deployed into the needed environments
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions, Cloud Formation Templates, Terraform, Docker, and containerization to support the team’s AWS multi-region/multi-AZ deployed production systems
  • Design and improve CDN configurations for our web, app and OTT services Design, build and support infrastructure technologies and services that follow operational and security best practices
  • Monitor daily performance of networks, systems, and infrastructure to ensure operations continue within acceptable parameters
     

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Cloud solutions including AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • 5+ years of experience with Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Amazon Linux)
  • 5+ years of experience building and operating web and API stacks (Node.js, Next.js, Golang, Apache, Nginx)
  • Experience in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, VCL
  • Experience with source control systems like Git and Bitbucket
  • Advanced networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP)
  • Knowledge of CDN solutions - Akamai, Fastly, Brightcove
  • Working knowledge of the following AWS services – EKS, ECS, API, SageMaker, CloudFront, Lambda, VPC, EC2 and CloudFormation
  • Working knowledge of EKS GitOps tools – Argo CD, Helm, Kubeseal, and K9s
  • Relevant knowledge and support of Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM) tools – WIZ, AWS Guard Duty, AWS Config, etc.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – GitHub Actions, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Devops
  • Understanding of Docker/Kubernetes – Securing container images at rest, build, and runtime.
  • Cloud WAF - Akamai Kona, Signal Sciences and AWS WAF Logging and SIEM Technologies – Cloud Native solutions such as CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and VPC Flow logs.
  • Working knowledge of logging and monitoring tools such as DataDog, Grafana and PagerDuty

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $128,000.00-160,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
