Provable is looking for a hands-on, experienced DevOps Engineer to scale our internal infrastructure, with a focus on automation, code hygiene, and release reliability. In this role, you’ll partner with protocol engineers to maintain and improve our Rust-based libraries and services, ensure consistent code health, and accelerate development velocity through well-maintained CI pipelines, faster builds, and secure, repeatable release processes.. Ideally, you are crypto-native, comfortable with production software, and passionate about building bulletproof infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repository and dependency management: Standardize, document, and automate the management of Rust-based repositories such as snarkVM and snarkOS. Track and upgrade Rust versions and third-party crates with a focus on compatibility, performance, and security.

  • Performance Optimization: Identify and implement strategies to reduce build times and accelerate test execution.

  • Security Reviews: Monitor and respond to advisories or dependency vulnerabilities; improve internal processes for secure coding and infrastructure hygiene.

  • CI/CD Reliability: Diagnose and fix CI issues, flaky tests, and build failures across GitHub workflows.

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Oversee the provisioning, operation, and management of AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong expertise in either AWS or GCP: Extensive experience managing AWS or GCP cloud infrastructure.

  • Strong Background in automation tools: Proficiency in Ansible and Terraform, as well as Bash scripting and Python for orchestration. Significant experience with Git and GitHub workflows.

  • Rust Ecosystem: Familiarity with Rust tooling, Cargo workflows, and build optimization techniques.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across teams and timezones, ability to document software.

  • Security Awareness: Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering: at least 2-3 years of exposure to Rust, having built and ideally managed at least one production-quality service in Rust

  • Monitoring and Logging Tools: Experience with monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana, and Logging tools such as Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana. Ability to set up, configure, and manage these tools effectively.

  • Crypto Native: Familiarity with blockchain technology and the cryptocurrency ecosystem is highly preferred.
